"Glad to get a mercury thermometer"
I grew up with mercury thermometers so have an idea how difficult it can sometimes be to read them. These are a little tough until you work with them a bit but it's readable. Scale could be a little more clear but it does validate to my battery operated thermometer so either they're both right or both wrong! So I'm very happy with my purchase. When the lights go out, I'll still be able to know if I'm sick without using up my batteries!
