"Works! Definitely worth it."
Had a 10 week old Polish and the others started to pull the feathers out of the back of her head and pecked her until she was pretty red. Had her in a crate inside the coop away from the others, but wanted to be able to let her out of the crate. Put the "Pick No More Cover Up Lotion" on her, and after a taste of it, the others leave her alone! They are 12 weeks old now, and I do have to apply it to her every day or two, but to me it's worth it so she doesn't have to be in a crate. Will definitely be ordering again!
"So far so good!"
Been using for three days and have not had to have the pecked polish segregated in the crate anymore. Probably overkill, but have been applying 2-3 times per day. Yep, her white feathers are purple and sticky, but once the others have had a taste of it, they leave her be. Will definitely have this on hand at all times!
It has an odd grape smell and turned the chicken purple and faded to pink. The others stopped pulling her feathers after one application. I applied it 2 more times to break their habit. Wear gloves when applying. Can stain your hands/clothing but washes out.
This product is a lotion that is dark blue/purple in color which discourages excessive pecking. The lotion is very creamy and will apply easily to desired area. However, this product will stain skin and clothes. Properly secure chicken so the product will not shaken off.
Our hens have trends toward the pecky-side. We lost a rooster to infection after having been pecked too much. We wanted to keep our remaining roo healthy and, if possible, avoid losing him, as well. We picked up a bottle of Rooster Booster Pick-No-More; it has been wonderful. George, who is our roo and is a white crested polish, has feathers growing on his head once again. Excellent stuff.
