"Great vaccine. We've been using it for years."

Great vaccine, we've been using it for years. As with all vaccines, storage temperatures matter (even while in the field administering), as does the health of the animal before you administer it. Animals with healthy immune systems are better able to successfully utilize the vaccine to train the immune system, but I would advise giving the injection on schedule every time. It's just that important, at least in the southeastern U.S. I use Jeffers' 3mL 22 ga 1" syringe to administer subcutaneously over the shoulder. I spray the area with a bit of rubbing alcohol, massage it in, give the injection, and then sing happy birthday in my head while massaging the injection site gently. This process seems to reduce swelling and long-term lumps under the skin and increases the comfort of the animal while reducing stress.

Glad that Jeffers has goat meds "made" for goats; its tiresome always trying to figure out "off-label" uses for drugs not made specifically for goats.

    "Alvin Farm"

I've used this vaccine over the past couple years and have been very satisfied. I've vaccinated 35 goats, plus offspring each year and had no negative problems. I plan to continue using the vaccine.

    "Great vaccine"

Exactly what I ordered and arrived on time. Great vaccine for my goats.

    "great brand"

Leaves very few bumps. My goats don't have a problem with any reaction from this shot. I have given many shots and never had a reaction. Once in a while a bump will develop but not often,

Colorado Serum does not leave a lump at the injection site, like other do, been using it for yrs with no issues

  7. 5.0 out of 5 stars

    "No Lumps"

This is the CD & T of choice when we vaccinate. The Colorado Serum does not leave a lump at the injection site as other brands tend to. Sometimes those lumps can be mistaken for CL and get your goat bumped out of a show.

"Doesnt cause injection site bumps like the others"

I much prefer the Essential 3+ to the other basic brands of CDT products. I have found that the Essentials brand does not cause the unsightly injection site bump that I used to get with the other brands. I still rub the injection site down after injecting just as I did before, but now there is no unsightly bump afterward. Very pleased with this brand.
