Capstar Flea Tablets
Capstar Tablets begin killing fleas within 30 minutes. Studies show that the tablets are over 90% effective against adult fleas on dogs within 4 hours and cats within 6 hours. In addition to the typical irritations associated with an infestation, fleas can transmit parasites, and also be responsible for skin conditions on your pet such as flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) on dogs, and miliary dermatitis on cats.
Actively controlling flea infestations is important to the health of the animal and reduces the problems associated with these parasites. The active ingredient is Nitenpyram.

This product is a wonderful compliment to the monthly topical that use to handle fleas by itself.
Waste of money. Tried it and doesn't work.
"Love this product "
I used this twice a year and never use anything else and don't have any problems with fleas.
"Capstar works. "
Use Capstar several times a year to make sure "new" flea control regimen has a clean start.
"Excellent Product "
I live in the South and my cats are indoors, but somehow we still manage to get a few fleas during the warm months. Used once a month with Advantage II for cats keeps them at bay. Since I have bug bite allergies, this keeps both me and the cats sane.
Works great but can be expensive if you have a out door cat
I have a cat that is allergic to everything. I cant put any of the topical flea products on him. I purchased Capstar and it was fantastic. I gave him a Capstar along with a bath and his fleas were gone. I now give him 1 once a month just incase he is a inside cat and once a month just keeps him protected. I have told all my friends and they are all now using Capstar. GREAT PRODUCT>
"CAPSTAR IS A #1"
CAPSTAR is the best thing since sliced bread!! Keeps all of Maxwell's Rat Terriers flea free safely!!
This is the best product I have ever used but I need something that will last longer than a day. I have 3 dogs ranging from 55-120 pounds, with ages of 6,13, and 14. Cannot afford the flea problem.
THIS WORKED GREAT! WITHIN 30 MIN OF GIVING THIS TO MY CAT, I STARTED FINDING DEAD FLEAS WHERE EVER SHE HAD BEEN LAYING. I WILL ORDER MORE OF THIS.
"I could not believe it!!"
I could not believe how well Capstar worked!!! We have fought a flea infestation for months on our 2 yellow labs...I tried everything!!! The poor dogs were at the point of losing their hair and having scabs on their body from the many flea bites, and I was at my wits end!!! I took a chance and bought it!!! I gave the dogs one tablet each at around 5 pm, by the next morning...NO FLEAS!! I could not believe it!! I am sold on Capstar!!! Only side effect I noticed, was a little lethargy the next day...but they are doing great now!!! AWESOME PRODUCT, and IT REALLY WORKS!!
I have used Capstar for my Rottweiler/Shepard mix for several years, and she's an outdoor dog. I never saw her scratching, nor any fleas on her. One tablet usually worked for a month. Easy to use - I just stuck a tablet in a piece of weiner, but she would eat it out of my hand, too.
This product workds great! I had tried shampoos, drops, sprays, powders and nothing would stop the fleas...until Capstar. It only has one major flaw that would stop it from working...The pet has to actually swallow the pill and keep it down, lol. Pets will pick up a pill and walk away and spit it out when you are not looking. You have to make sure the pill gets swallowed. Put it in some favorite snack or something, if you do it will work.
"does not work"
We tried this product and at checked the dogs at 2 hr intervals, and it did not work at all! What a waste of money!
As a cat rescuer, taking in a new cat can be problematic. One abandoned kitten can infest the entire household. So Capstar is something I now keep on hand. It is only meant to be an emergency shock treatment, and the animal must be dosed with a topical flea preventative within 24 hours. But to get rid of the ones on the animal at the time, it does exactly as advertised. Jeffers price can't be beat. My vet charges $35 for a single dose of Capstar. For the same money,I can buy a whole 6 pack of the stuff from Jeffers, and still have enough left over for for a few catnip mice.
