The Freeze Miser releases only the minimal amount of water to prevent faucets from freezing. Its patented design allows it to sense the internal water temperature, allowing no water to drip until the water temperature drops below 37°F/3°C. WHILE THE USUAL winter faucet covers, fabric faucet socks, and the manual drip method can protect an outdoor faucet IF temperatures don’t drop too low, they often don’t provide enough protection to prevent pipes and faucets from freezing. The Freeze Miser PREVENTS FREEZING FROM EVER HAPPENING, no matter how cold the temperatures or for how long.

Bought and installed during single digit temps in January. Worked great, just as advertised
Have used these for 2yrs on faucets fed by murky well-water and faucets fed by municipal water, on the house and around the ranch. Simple. We do rinse them when removing them at the end of winter, and next fall, we test the used ones prior to re-use the following winter (testing is easy - see the label) - so far, all have worked for 2 winters and counting. Works on old and new well systems that are completely unshielded from the elements that we get to about once a week - exposed well systems do well with a Miser installed prior to the first significant freeze. And we don't shut off the wells and drain the tank and lines, anymore. Location: central TX, sporadically, temperatures in the 'teens to 20s F (we didn't know about them in 2021, so didn't get to try them in that week of sub-zero to below-freezing temperatures). One of the relatively few devices that works as described in its label. Made in the USA, too.
I purchased 1 Freeze Miser to try out during a cold front that went through our area. Our area doesn't get cold often, but when it does...it's Cold! The faucet I used the Freeze Miser on was the most exposed and had little protection from the wind. I was
