"Love this Saddle Pad, Esp. for Trail Rides!"
I feel safer with the bright orange color of this saddle pad, particularly during Hunting Season. Love the 2 pockets and they are easy to open / close on the trail. They house my cell phone, snacks and bottled water. Once when my horse got lost on the trail, the only way we ever found her was finding this orange saddle pad! She is bay and blended in too well!
"Great cargo pad"
Me and my hubby use Australian, western bad English saddles on all our different horses. I.must admit this pad fits under everything. It's pockets are roomy and don't flop around like saddle bangs can, and it's material dries quickly. We use it Over another pad, for western and Aussie saddles though. After washing the color tends too fade, and the sun also seems to fade it easily too. Otherwise, loving this pad for our hot, and humid riding here,.plus it is nicely affordable for its dual purpose. Getting the Orange one for this Hunting season!
"Fits under my Aussie :)"
"I got this pad wondering if it would fit under my Aussie. Its dimensions are listed as being quite a bit smaller than this pad is measured on other sites/catalogs (it's also called a ""trail pad"" here on Jeffers, other sites call is an ""endurance pad"" so it may be a slightly different product). It fits nicely, the billet straps and girth loop are too small for an Aussie, but it does not slip at all so no need to fasten it to my saddle :). I got this pad for short trail rides, something to carry a hoof pick, rope halter & lead, baggy of zip ties for quick fixes on the trail, maybe a snack or a camera. It does the job pretty well. My only complaint is the fasteners, if my horse gives a good shake, small items (like the hoof pick) can pop out. It is a thin pad, so if you need extra cushion/padding under your saddle you need to use an extra pad with it. Overall it's a classy looking pad and looks good doing it's job."
