"No Milk Aspiration"
I've used these for several years. They are designed to help prevent calves from aspirating milk so it decreases the risk of pneumonia associated with bottle babies. They are ruggedly made and durable.
"Best Calf Bottles made"
Being that the nipples screw into the lid that screws into the bottle, they never come apart while feeding the calf. I've tried other bottles they don't compare. These are made of top quality materials. Easy to clean and take apart.
"Finally a Decent Nursing Bottle"
I have used the Peach Teat Nurser Bottle for three calves from a couple of days old to weaning at 12 - 16 weeks. This bottle minimizes fluid inhalation. The calves are not drowning in the milk in their desperation to nurse. This allows them to grow healthier with fewer problems, certainly with less risk of pneumonia. The first bottles I purchased did not have the valve on top and worked fine. The next bottles I ordered had the valve on top and this allows the gas that builds up inside the bottle when preparing the replacer (when shaking the bottle to mix the replacer inside) to escape; otherwise the bottles work the same when the calf is nursing. I wish they made these for goat and lamb kids. I will never go back to the old bottles again.
"Two style bottles? "
The bottle I received is not the one in the photo and it leaks hopelessly.
Calves love it. No leaking with vent on top. Nipple doesn't collapse.
"The Good, and the Bad"
I purchased two of these bottles after getting tired of the basic nipples collapsing all the time. When they arrived I noted that the bottle itself was not like in the picture posted. It did not have the valve on the bottle. The design is awesome actually, except for the tip on the nipple. The calves did not like that tip (it's fairly hard). The design of the inner workings of the nipple are super incredible - it worked almost like a real cow's teat. I was impressed with the way the nipple worked, just wasn't impressed with the way it is shaped. Remove that tip and keep the rest of the nipple design and it would be absolutely PERFECT. The ring - it was a great idea for the vent flow, but it has some minor flaws also. It needs to be moved to the top neck part of the bottle, or further out on the nipple base. As it is, the calf's nose hits it and this allows milk to flow from it (getting in the calf's nose). The idea is ingenious, but the placement is not good. I would love to get in touch with the manufacturer of this nipple to redo the design. This is truly an amazing design concept that would/could actually be the best bottle/nipple on the market with just a few minor changes.
