And now I know where they are at all times. Love these bells. They weren't crazy about them at first, but it didn't take them long. Now they don't even notice them. Very durable cause my kids are wild and C*R*A*Z*Y.

Sorry, I intended to give this bell a one, but wanted to give a zero!

I'm agreeing with the first reviewer. I bought several and they lasted for 3 days for me . I did find one intact in the pasture, but I will not be re-using it. I've had bells that look mostly like this and while those would magically dislodge themselves, only to be found later, they were generally intact;maybe a clapper missing that I could replace with a nut. These were puzzlingly defective;wrenched right off, with the little attachment piece still hanging from the s hook. I bought replacements at TSC. Jeffers, should not waste any more time with the vendor of this bell.

The bell was nice for a couple days, used it on my goats when we take them to pasture. It was loud enough I could hear where the goats were, lasted about 4 days before the bell part broke off. Quality obviously not that good had planned on ordering more after the first couple days but not sure I want to spend more money on them if they are only going to last a few days then just fall apart. They might make a good decorative piece but to clip onto a goat wasn't worth the price or shipping costs.

The price is cheap, but so is the quality. They aren't the loudest bells and they don't hold up very long. I've used a lot of different bells on sheep and the longest these Jeffers bells have ever lasted is maybe a year or so. The loop that attaches to the collar breaks and the bell is lost. Other bells that I've used, while costing twice as much, have lasted five times as long and are still going. Oh, one more thing, the loop is too narrow to fit a standard 1 inch dog collar, so the bell has to be tied or wired to the collar instead or you have to use a smaller collar. Again, doesn't help the loss issue. They're worth what they cost, but in the long term, the more expensive bells are a better value.
