"poor quality, soft feel"
After only a few uses the string started to unravel where the bull snap is attached. Don't trust it to use again without completely coming apart. I have tried to retry it but so far my efforts have been unsuccessful.
"Won't buy again"
I only had it for about a week and it broke ... the snaps nice but where the snap and the rope meet is not strong enough.. would be great for a smaller horse / mini ...
"Good Rope For The Price"
Nice and soft cotton for the hands, strong and the snap at the end is sturdy and easy to use. Great lead rope for the price.
"Love these Trigger Bull Snaps"
I have been frantically trying to find these snaps after buying two lead ropes with the trigger bull snaps at a Washington tack swap. Ever since purchasing those I have tried anywhere to find these again to buy more. So happy that I finally found some. These snaps work so well for me as they are easy to use (light using a lighter by using your thumb to push down then simply attach the snap to the halter) and very durable snaps, just like the bull snaps but easier to attach in my opinion, lead ropes not so much durable (not much to expect but handle well and love cotton better than nylon). Planning to buy a good stock soon. :D
"Good rope, but bad snap"
I love this rope! It is durable and soft! The trigger bull snap is hard to use. My horse was spooked and I had a hard time getting the snap off.
The best thing about cotton lead ropes are easy to repair! Look on Google for tutorials on braiding a crown knot. You can replace a snap, shorten to desired length, fix a fraying end. To keep it from unraveling, I take a piece of the little white string from a feed sack, quadruple it, tie it as tightly as I can about and inch above the end of the braid. Simple, no rope burns, long lasting, only lead ropes I buy.
Easy to get on and off halters. Snap is very strong. However I've had it for about 6 months and the end is starting to fray. However its strong and very soft to the hands.
