The egg shape of this ball causes it to roll unpredictably and keeps dogs on their toes. The hard plastic material makes this ball hard for dogs to pin & bite also making it extra durable.

I thought this would be fun but my dog just trys to chew into it which its hard plastic so she has made grooves in it. I put it up but we'll try again when its nice outside.
"Forget this one!"
If your dog has strong jaws like my 75# pitbull, don't waste your money. Received the 9" yellow one (red makes him crazy, can't imagine how bad he'd have destroyed it), he gained purchase quickly and dented it. After about 5 min it had holes in it from his canines and it was dented in on 3 sides. Another $9.99 down the drain with our boy.
"I bought the 9"" Jolly Egg for our Pyrenees-Pit-German Shepherd mix because he is very good at destroying toys. The first day he had it, he spent nearly an hour trying to figure out how to pick it up. After he finally figured it out, he would get it in his mouth and it would shoot out of his mouth after about 1 step. It was hilarious! There are a few chew marks on the tip. However, it's been 4 and a half months and still in good shape and if it lasts more than a day in my house it's a 5 star in my book. He still plays with it and it cracks me up every time!"
"It seemed durable"
I first thought this toy might last for years. My last review was the end of April, it is now the end of July and she has completely chewed the end off. Keep in mind, I am on here buying a replacement today. She adores this toy and I still feel its great. I just wish it were sturdier.
My Am. Bulldog mix loves this toy and it provides not only the dog but everyone watching with entertainment as she chases it around the yard. Its also durable and I believe will last for years.
"So simple and so awesome!"
We got this for our pit bull mix 4 years ago, the larger sized version. It's purple and we call it the eggplant. He tries desperately to grab hold of it but because of it's shape he can't grab it with his legs (it slips out) and because of it's size he can't grab it with his mouth either. The toy is very heavy duty and has huge, deep scratches up and down the sides after years of use. It has a small hole so it takes on some water and bobs in the kiddie pool, which is also tons of fun for our dog. I recommend it for outdoor use only, as it's always getting banged up against the fence and what not (sometimes it shoots out like a rocket from between his legs!). Four years later it's still a great toy. He's determined to get a good hold of it someday...which offers endless entertainment for everyone.
