It seems to be different than when I bought it two years ago. The size of the squares are smaller and are not broken up individually, the product also seems to be on the dry side but none the less my dog still love the taste and I can still use it for their treat balls
"Yorkies love this"
Even though I need to break these up, the Yorkies love them. So glad the 2.5lb size is available.
"Dogs love it"
One of our dogs has a skin condition aggravated by grain, and Yummy Chummies Gold are the perfect treat for him. We did receive one bad batch (hard & smelly) but Jeffers quickly replaced it and the new batch is just like always - soft, fresh, and chewy. Thanks, Jeffers!
"Not soft, very hard"
I've used Yummy Chummies Gold treats for years, and my dog loved them. But the last 2 bags I ordered were hard as rocks, not "soft" at all. So hard I couldn't break them apart. I hope I just got a bad batch, and the company hasn't changed the recipe or baking method. Please tell the manufacturer we want our "soft, chewy" treats to be soft and chewy.
My poodle loves Yummy Chummies...his favorite treat!! I like that they are grain-free.
"My dog says they're just OK"
These seem nice, but my fairly picky dog doesn't love them. She far prefers the Newman's Own Salmon and Sweet Potato treats. Those are $6/lb compared to these at $10/lb, so that makes it an easy decision.
"love Yummy Chummies"
I have a 7 yr old Wired Haired Griffon and a mixed 6 mos old German Shepherd and Retriever. They both love these treats and I am happy they are grain free. The Wild Alaskan Salmon is a great Omega 3 for their joint health too!
"Only dog treat I buy!"
I have an 8yr old cockapoo with allergies - basically if it lives on land, he can't have it. This means no meats (yep, even tried rabbit, bison, duck, and kangaroo!) and no grains. Even grass being mowed sent him into sneezing and more itching. I feed him ONLY Taste of the Wild Salmon (dry mixed with canned) and Yummy Chummie Salmon only treats. He was once a picky eater, but he LOVES these! Itching has completely stopped and his fur is beautiful, soft and silky now. Even his ear troubles disappeared. Yeah, he can have fishy breath, but he is finally healthy and content so it's no big deal at all. There is not another treat on the market that he can eat other than these. Thank goodness for the bulk bags. THANK YOU-THANK YOU Arctic Paws for making these! For us, they are literally worth their weight in GOLD. :)
The Yummy Chummies are amazing treats and the relatively new Gold product is fantastic! I have two (2) very small Maltese who have skin allergies - scratching and chewing on their paws. Since I started giving them ONLY Yummy Chummies as their treats we have had no itchy issues! These are all natural, good products. I highly recommend them. Oh - and I can get my fur kids to do just about anything to get one as a treat. They LOVE them! (Note: You have to wash your hands after giving them though. They do smell like fish, but that's because they are fish treats.)
"Great Nibble & Kibble"
I have 2 yellow labs, and I use a couple of these as toppers for their dry food, or for a small nibble/reward when they go into thier pen. They love them. Sometimes it's the only thing my finicky 14-year female will eat in the morning. (And yes, they smell fishy, but it's fish!)
Our German Shepherd has digestive problems from time to time typical of his breed, so we try to avoid grain additives and processed treats and focus on all-meat treats. Yes, they smell fishy but no big deal for me and he loves them. We are regular purchasers.
