"Wonderful Spray Alternative"
We discovered Kensington Fly Boots about 10 years ago. They are great in keeping flies off your horse's legs. In addition, we've used this brand of fly boots to keep flies off of any of our horse's leg injuries. It allows air to get through but keeps those annoying insects off the leg & allows it to heal. We still have Kensington Fly Boots from 10 years ago & although they've taken a beating, are still functional. Their fly masks are like that too.
"Rescued my Rescue"
My horse is a rescue and has huge scars on her lower legs that seem to attract every fly in the paddock. Last year the pesticides didn't work and flies opened her scars and it was awful. She can be a little sensitive, but she accepted these boots without any fuss and her lower legs have remained fly free. They are easy to put on, they stay on, and have worn well. I definitely recommend these.
I bought a pair of these this past summer to try on my pony, who is always so bothered by the bugs and super sensitive to flies. He would stomp so much his hooves looked terrible. These work well and they helped a lot, but you have to keep an eye on them because they can slip down a bit and then the horse is standing on the bottoms of them. Overall, I recommend!
"can't beat Kensington"
I buy these every year, my horses will stomp all day long because of flies and I just couldn't stand it, fly spray only lasted so long. I took a chance and bought a set of 'em and have never looked back. They last forever, stay up and no more stomping! You need these, especially if you have horses with sensitive skin. Fantastic product!
