    "Size of net"

Just a heads up, the nets for $14.99 those nets are 19"x13"x15". I called Jeffers to confirm

    "BIG nets"

Ordered 2 of these. These are wonderful hay nets, excellent construction and durability- however these are way larger than advertised. I feed small square bales of a timothy/orchard grass mix averaging 70 or so pounds a bale... I can easily fit 3/4 to a FULL bale. VERY stretchy nets. The issue is that if you're not filling them all the way, they don't stay stretched enough for the horses to pull the hay out. Otherwise, great nets.

    "not happy at all"

While the holes are 1x1 inch which is hard to find because many companies say they are 1x1 but then they are 2x2 by the time you put hay in them. These are horrible because I can only put one to three flakes in each net. I have 5 bales to put out daily and there is no way that I can do that when I can only put one to three flakes in each net. Such a waste of my money. What happened? I have bought many of these throughout the years and they always fit 3/4 to one full bale of hay. This is so not okay. Don't waste your money on these.

    "Disappointed #2"

My last review was not a 5. It was a 1. I am now ready to open my third hay net, since bag #2 didn't even last as long as the first one before my mare had a giant hole in it. So far, at about a bag a week, this has been an epic waste of money.

I bought 4 of these bags. The first one didn't last a week before my mare had a softball-sized hole in it. We'll see what the next one brings.

    "Great at slowing her down..."

Three months ago my horse was diagnosed as insulin resistant with laminitis and I was told that she needed to lose weight, no grass, no grain and slow feed Teff hay. I had bought these (4) in the hope that it would slow her down. She was able to scarf up the hay with the regular slow net. These only allow her to get a few sprigs at a time which allows her to be happy eating all day (never running out of hay) and she has now lost 160 pounds! I have put the hay in 4 different locations so she has to move about for it since she is still too sore to formally exercise. The nets are great quality and have held up to her forceful munching at them. I love them and recommend them highly!!

    "So far so good. "

My horse is pretty rough on her hay nets, they don't last more than a few mos. This has been in use for almost 3 weeks now and isn't showing any signs of wear yet.

    "1" slow feed hay nets"

Still the only 1" nets that I can find available. Yes, they are larger, quality has diminished and cost more than they used to, but when you have a horse that has to have his hay soaked - they're great!

"love thes slow feed nets, but,"

The first 3 were perfect. The last 5 were different... they were twice as big in size, and too big for me. I'm afraid to purchase more, because the large ones are way too large for my needs.

    "Really slows her down..."

I have a Fatty Patty that can scarf hay through the 2 inch slow feed hay nets like crazy and she then has nothing to do and gets bored. I thought that maybe this might slow her down enough to make her hay last longer and give her something to do and it does!! These openings are small enough that she can't just shake it like a dog killing a snake and then eat what falls out, she really has to just pull the hay out through the openings so I am very happy with it! She seems to be calmer now too and just slowly nibbles her hay all morning long. She hasn't lost any weight but she isn't gaining so that is good.

    "Durable Hay Net"

I like this hay net! The holes are small, it’s durable, it stretches nicely in the feed bucket for filling with hay, and it’s affordable. At first it seemed like the holes might be too small, but since it’s stretchy and flexible the horses still seem to be able to get the hay out. I only wish they made this same hay net in different color options so I could color code for each horse.

    "Clydette from Pa "

I love the ultra slow hay nets. Wish they would make a size smaller as I use them for my mini horses. I have 28 of them so that when we go away the hay is weighed out for a week. The nets have held up extremely well. I highly recommend this net.

    "Mixed Feelings"

I ordered 14 of this ultra slow nets. The sizes were wildly inconsistent. About half were the size I expected (smaller than I normally like) but the other half I could barely squeeze a half a bale into. I like the larger sizing to get a whole bale into it, but these I can't. Not sure what went wrong here.

    "What happened???"

I've been buying this for years. The most recent one I bought is teeny tiny. I can barely get 2 flakes in it. Normally I can put almost half a bale in them. Super disappointed.

    "Love these hay nets!"

We have ponies and the ultra slow feed has made a huge difference in weight management. They help slow how fast the hay is consumed and they hold up just great!
