"Use with sense please!"
I want to note that I have used this brand and various others over the years on a lot of rescue puppies. There is a reason most people recommend a vet. You DO NOT want to vaccinate a puppy that has been stressed by a new environment or has other issues(worms, coccidia, etc)! Either vaccinate a seemingly healthy puppy as soon as you get it *before* its immune system is strained due to new home, moving from indoors to out, etc. Also have a fecal done same day before vaccine if possible. Vaccines can be fatal if there are under lying issues. And not all vets require exam just to fecal check and it costs roughly $15.
"Perfect with no issues"
All vaccines regardless of name are regulated. I have never lost a k9 using this vaccine.
I have been using this item now for about 5 months and on all different dogs from all over ...I have yet to get a bad review at all. they have come back for 2nd and 3rd set .......
"Made my puppies sick!!"
I have this to two different litters of pups at different facilities and pups from each litter got sick. Vomiting, lack of appetite, swollen lymph nodes. Pups were not exposed to each other. The ONLY thing they had in common is THIS vaccine. Will not buy again.
"To the below"
First to the below post. Sorry to hear that you dog got Parvo but that has absolutely nothing to do with the shot at all. One the shot is given it takes easily four plus week for the canine to even have the level of resistance to the virus. You are not the first to experience an exposure before the resistance to that virus. It has noting to do with the product. Next, Boehringer Ingelheim produces outstanding product and are the original manufacturer of what is Vanguard CV5 which is an outstanding vaccine. I will let you in on a little secret there are just a few manufacturers of vaccines and branding them in different names for different companies. Fort Dodge is one also, I used there vaccine and one dog had a reaction, added benedryl to her and she was fine in about 30 mins. The Solo Ject 5 plus is the same as vanguard. Just realize that every dog is different just like us.
I have used soloject a few times over the years with ok results. This year however I bought a case and gave all my dogs their yearly vaccines. 3 weeks later one of our dogs got parvo. She survived thankfully. We also had a puppy have a bad reaction after using soloject. We changed to a more expensive brand at the advice of our vet and have had no more problems. Be careful using this product. You get what you pay for! This may be cheap but if it harms the dog or doesn't protect them then it cost more $$ in the long run. I won't use it again.
Great Product, very easy to give shots with no negative reaction. We have a non-profit rescue ranch and giving our rescue dogs shots a must when first rescued. Since costs is out of my pocket this is the only way to go. We have all different breeds and I have never had a problem with Solo-jec 5 plus, can't beat the costs! There is NO excuse not to give your animals the protection when the costs are this reasonable.
"No Problems! :)"
These vaccines worked perfectly... doing the job they were meant to do - w/ no problems at all. The price was the best too!... atleast $10 bucks less than the next lowest priced 5-way - and $20 or more less than the others! Only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is that I had to use the stickers off of both the vaccine and the dilutant on my health records - as just the one label doesn't show the parvo portion of the vaccine on it. (A couple other brands that I used had everything listed on just the one vial.) But, other than that small inconvenience, was definitely the best protection for the price!
