"Nice quality snaps"

I wanted to make my own humane headsetter and needed the bungee bit connector so instead of paying $100 for one, I bought 2 of these snaps, and a rubber tie down strap from the hardware store for about a dollar. Cut the S hooks off the tie down. Put these snaps on the end and doubled them back to zip tie them tightly and slid on an old halter ring. Waa laa! A bungee bit connector for under $5. Snap it under the chin on each side of the bit. Attach your side reins ( I use nylon tie downs that are $7 each here) and use with or without a a side rope. Instant soft sponging lightly bumping head setter for lunging and riding. My horses love it! There are videos on youtube of the humane headsetter. I use these snaps on the rainbow reins to teach beginners too, snap on a halter or the bit and kids can identify where to put their hands, and I can keep my regular reins on the bridle.
