"Tight in the shoulders"
This fly sheet is everything it says it is. I bought a 78 which is the size my horse wears. It was a bit big on her, which was fine, but it was very, very tight in the shoulders.
"Saxon Softmesh reigns!"
Over 65 years of owning horses, this fly sheet saves me time and money. At $20+ per quart for fly spray I only need to spray legs in the hottest months. Two quarts of spray pay for the Saxon . The belly band does a great job of keeping culicoides and other biting insects off the underside and the tail flap protects the tail area...two out of the three main egg laying areas for this awful biting midge. I love the neck protection of the these sheets as well, which protects the wither where midges lay eggs. Many of my horses are in pasture where the big horse flies, deer flies, and big narleys fly, and my Arabians no longer have round welts from fly abuse. Light weight, and some sheets have lasted 5 years if a horse has not rubbed against shrub or tree! Easy to patch and repair as well, and the repairs hold. A numero uno!!!

Perfect for our white apaloosa who has pink skin for preventing sunburn and yet keeping him comfortable in the Florida heat. Also for bug control. Love that it dries quickly when it rains.
"Good for Mares, not so much for Geldings"
Originally I bought the Saxon fly sheet to see how destructive my pasture kept horses would be. To my surprise, they didn't bother each other at all. The Saxon is a decently made sheet that I'd recommend to people with mares (the belly part goes WAYYY too far back for geldings if you know what I mean but washes up nicely) and horses that are easy on their blankets. I decided to take the next step up and buy the WB Detach a Neck Sheet and WOW! the difference is totally worth the jump in price.
"Not satisfied "
I was disappointed with this product. I purchased it after reading the reviews about how durable it was and after my horse wore it only 4 times it ripped ! I was very bummed because every fly sheet I owned has ripped I thought I'd get more wear out of this one. I would also never purchase a attached neck it rubbed my horse and caused a sore.
My gelding is really hard on EVERYTHING and this fly sheet is CHEAP and stands up so well! I expected this to last days and then it would be shredded beyond recognition but it made it through summer 2013 and is ready for 2014! I sewed up many little holes and patch it with fabric but my horse is on acreage with panels/barbwire/rocks/branchy trees/ect. so I expect some repairs to be made. Any sewing machine could make repairs on this sheet which is SOOO nice and cuts down on expense since it can be a DIY sort of thing! Will no doubt be replacing mine and possibly even buying more for the other horses. Also sizing is pretty spot on! Love it!
"Saxon Fly Sheet"
Nice product at a great price. I bought 1 for my gelding (who tore his other fly sheet up in 2 days) he wore it a week but was alittle big then put on one of the mares, she has worn it a week out side and it only has 4 small, small snags. I have ordered 3 more and thinking about more. Great sheet!!
"Saxon full neck bellyband flysheet"
LOVE this sheet. Generous cut. Really nice formed/fit neck. Great price, very nice sheet.
"Saxon fly sheet"
Nice product at a good price! I would haven given 5* but the fit is tight around the shoulders. I bought 2 in my horses size 78 and 81 both sheets are a little large. They also tend to shift to the left side of the horse due to the buckles being on the left side I plan on adding weights to the right side to hopefully counter the shifting. Overall I do like the sheets and with a little modification they will fit fine just need to shorten the back up a bit.
