My Holsteiner seemd to swim in full sized boots and most of the affordable ones were too stiff. These boots are bendable and easy to work with while providing the same protection as more expensive boots. I tried the cob and they are a perfect fit.
"Good boots for a great price"
I was really torn about sizing based on the other reviews but I spoke to customer service and decided to get cob and full in the white. They are a perfect fit and will be great for schooling or showing. For reference my mare is a 16.2 petite built OTTB but she’s all leg. I would recommend measuring your horse and get the measurements from customer service for the best fit. I will absolutely buy these again when I need a new pair!
"Way too big!"
These boots are ridiculously huge. I have a 16.0 h warmblood cross gelding, and I ordered Cob size for front boots, based on the other reviewers saying they run large, even though the size chart for the product says he should wear Full size in front. Even the Cobs are too big! They hit his knees and hang below his ankles. Have to send them back.
"Worth the buy!"
I bought 8 pairs of these (4 cob, 4 regular) and am very happy with the quality. They are protective, the Velcro sticks very well and they look nice. The only problem I have is the cob size runs very big. My 15hh mare has to wear them behind, they are too big for her in front. I use them for turnout and have had no problems- they do get a little warm so the horses do not wear them if it is hot out.
"Full size = BIG horse! Well made."
I ordered two sets of these (four total boots) for turnout boots for my 16.3hh warmblood mare. She's got long chunky legs and wears the Dover Pro Sport boots in Large on the front and XXL on the hind. I wasn't sure if these would be big enough for her hind legs and that's where she really interferes, but I wanted a low cost option. These are definitely big enough! In fact, the 'full' size is too large for her front legs - they are too long and hit her knees. The hinds are PERFECT though, and that's where I really needed them. I am happy to have an extra pair for switching them to wash. If she ends up needing boots for the front I'll order more in a smaller size. They seem well made and the velcro is very chunky and sticky, which is awesome for turnout boots. They are definitely a step up from basic splint boots - I like them even better than the pricey Woof boots because they are finished all the way around and well padded in the splint-protecting area. I ordered the purple velcroed ones and they are bright purple, just like on the website and just like I wanted. No comments on durability as we just got them earlier this week and she's only worn them twice.
