"hard to open bottle"
product bottle IS hard to open..I think it creates some kind of vacuum..I tried so hard to open, by knocking cap on wood, trying again..placed the bottle down, looking for our groom so he could open it..went back to the bottle, and it opened easily!!..trusting that the product works as it states..need to wait!!
I cannot give it a 5 because I can not get the bottle open. The staff at Jeffers are awesome1 took it back on one of my trips to Alabama, they had a hard time too. Gave me a different bottle, now I still can't get the darn cap off with a vice and pliers, and not destroy the bottle. If I can get it open, it is going into a different container. Company might want to change the design of container (have not used product yet)
"Love this product"
This stuff works. I have a draft cross that developed an extreme case of white line disease after a particularly rainy spring last year. A high dollar farrier recommended other products that didn't do a thing. I had used Sav-A-Hoof in the past with good results, so I went back to it. It did the trick. Cleared up the white line and saved this horse.
Years ago, an old farrier told me about Sav-A-Hoof. I prefer this one to the spray. Like any hoof remedy, it takes time, at least 6 months to regrow. What it does: it kills the black stuff (bacteria) that is preventing surface and deeper cracks from growing out. Once the bacteria is killed, the hoof can grow the cracks out. Using this with a digestible biotin based product may speed up the process. But remember, it takes at least 6 months to see the product work, or the benefits of it. This does not mean you need to use it for 6 months, but what you do now will pay off in results. Try 2 bottles of it during the late summer months and you will get results the following spring! You've got nothing to lose but $40 or so dollars!
"No Blue Fingers!"
I treated 2 horses for thrush with no blue fingers! Yay
"sav a hoof"
Have a Saddlebred with the most atrocious hooves, dry or wet conditions.Living in Fla,summers we are up against alot of rain, mud etc. This horse is claustrophobic,so will not stay in.Came across sav a hoof that has saved this horse after being extremely footsore on all four.Super effects within days, now on maintenance. All the older techniques, venice turpentine, durasol, koppertox, that I have used over the years on all breeds were completely uneffective. This is a must in my barn.
