"Cuts like a hot knife through butter!"
Cutting ours dogs nails has never been extremely difficult, but its definitely isn't the easiest task. We have tried several different methods of trimming their nails and none consistently work. I purchased these from Jeffers after speaking with Renee, their pet specialist, and I was not disappointed. They make trimming both of my dogs nails like cutting butter with hot knife. Takes about 2 minutes per dog and couldn't be happier! Thanks Jeffers!
"Easy to use "
With 4 dogs, 2 of which I have muzzled to clip nails, these have been the easiest clippers I've found. In fact, with repeated use, I am now only muzzling one. Great price too! Bought a 2nd for the rescue I volunteer with.
I'm a pro dog groomer and use this nail clipper every day. I groom and do nails on all types of dogs. The safety latch will NOT stop you from hitting the quick becuse every dog is differnt. So always have a quick stop on hand if your clipping nails at home or have some one teach you... :)
"Just purchased 2 days ago. "
Came to me quickly. Probably due to vaccine shipping. Cut my dogs nails with them. I have 3 indoor German Shepherds (90lb, 85lb, 66lb) who have not had their nails cut in quite some time (2y, 4y, 2y). The youngest is only 2 and has never seen nail clippers she did great, it was quick with little catch. Anyone knows that indoor dogs who are on carpet have longer nails due to not having anything to grind them down as they walk. The clippers were sharp and the safety guide was nice because I can move it back and forth to cut more if need be. The safety guide was a little loose and I had to readjust between each nail. It wasnt a big issue since I just had to slide it back over. They are a small size and fit great in my hand. Easy to cut with. Hoping these dont get dull anytime soon since they are the steel but if they do Id order the same clippers again.
"easy to use"
they were Sharpe and the built in stop made it fast and easy to use.
"Calmed my fears"
I have an old blind dog whom I never had to cut his nails until he went blind. I tried the other type of clipper that chops the nail, but his nails wouldn't fit well in the hole and he absolutely hated it! With these clippers they slice because of being two bladed and he is much calmer and doesn't try to pull the paw away. My advice to the person who had a bad experience is to search online for a tutorial or video on the correct angle to cut the nail. It made all the difference for me and my old pal.
"DEFECTIVE AWFUL ITEM!!!!!"
Tried these thinking that they would protect my dog's toenails from being cut at the quick. WRONG! The so called safety moves around when you're trying to cut the toenail. My dogs toenail got sucked in and was cut WAY too short. This was all because the thing that is supposed to keep the toenail from being cut too short kept spinning in circles. Will be contacting Jeffers about this as well!
The little guard on these clippers make them the perfect nail grooming tool. I was concerned about hurting my mini-dachshund because he has black nails making it impossible for me to determine where the quick is. The girls at my vet's office refused to do it as he would bang his head against the counter in panic. I don't need to worry about that now as the guard keeps me from cutting too deeply. I just give him a couple of natural calming chews that I also bought here at Jeffers, wait 20 minutes, put him in my lap and start clipping. He doesn't like it and probably never will but we can get through it quickly and easily without all the fear for either of us.
"Peace of Mind"
I have been purchasing from Jeffers for over 10 years. A few years back I purchased this exceptional nail clipper after trying two other types. I can truly say I now have peace of mind when clipping my Bostons nails. The safety feature never lets me cut too short. I have just recommended again this clipper to a new acquaintance giving them my latest catalog.
