"tried again with different fabric, no difference"
I tried again with a diferent more nylon-like material, but got the same disappointing results, plus it makes a big mess and if you accidentally touch it, you can not get it off, no matter what! Think super glue, only whereas super glue will dry to a hard finish, this stuff stays sticky and you keep on sticking to things. Its really bad, save your money and try a different adhesive.
