I thought this would be a good idea; however, it wasn't workable with my horse. The horse halter & lead were fine, it was her who didn't like it.
Halter is a simple, effective design made of good materials.
"Great during disasters"
These halters are inexpensive, portable, and fit a large range of sizes. This makes them perfect to send to the animal rescue agencies that have been responding to the numerous recent disasters that have been occurring across the country.
"Kim from North Idaho"
I don't know why some have problems with these on bigger horses, I specifically buy these because they fit my daughter's mustang (14.3) to my draft (16.1 hh) and draft cross (15.3 hh) .
I have ordered a ton of rope halters from these guys (I make leather goods and put leather nosebands on them) these halters are always top quality and a great deal for the price! The turquoise is slightly more green in person tho :)
These halters are very nice for the price. I haven't had any problems with them and they last a good while.
I bought this halter for just daily use and grooming, and it is amazing! Colors are perfect and it fits my 14-15 hand gelding perfect!
I bought two of these rope halters for my 16.2hh appendix. The halters seem to be good quality, but do fit him a little tight in the jaw and are not long enough to reach back to his jawline. Do not buy this halter if you have a 16hh horse!
"Good using halters for the price"
These halters are great for the price, fits my daughter's 15 hand Mustang all the way to my "small" Percheron (even though it's a bit snug through the nose on her, but it works fine). The color does fade bad though if left in the sun, I had halters I made myself out of climbing rope that never faded the ten + years I used and abused them, always left hanging outside in the elements, but it was costly buying climbing rope to make my halters, this one is less money. The lead is almost worthless though, I only use them for the goats and dogs. So if you need a lead, I'd recommend buying one separately.
This halter is one of the best I have bought. The colors are vibrant, and the quality is very good for both the headpiece and the lead rope. This fits my horse extremely well. The material does not fray if you take good care of it.
Love, Love, Love this halter! Works great!
"Not Happy with this Halter"
Bought the turquoise halter, color looks great on my horse but the lead is thin and short, very uncomfortable in the hands and mine was badly frayed in several places. Also I don't like stiffness of this halter, the tie end sticks up unless it is bent down or wrapped around the throat piece. OK for the low price, but I wouldn't buy another one.
"NOT WORTH THE MONEY"
I DONNT LIKE THIS HALTER...DOES NOT STAY TIED AND IT STRETCHES OUT AND BECOMES REALLY BIG...I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HALTER TO ANYONE...
These are the best halters ever. They last for years, especially if you store them out of the sun. The knots on the nose provide some added bite. Occasionally the plastic thing at the end of the tie at the ear/poll will come off, but for the price, you can not beat this.
"Nice Rope Halters"
I have 2 of these halters (One lime one pink) and love them! :D They fit perfect. I like rope halters because my horses seem to lead better in them than regular halters. Plus these come with a leadrope for a great price! I will definitely be buying more. I usually keep all my tack, including halters, in the tackroom out of the sun/weather but have forgotten about them many times so they have faded a little but not bad. The color still looks good. :) 5 stars.....
