I bought these because I had a Carpenter bee problem. The traps are covered with carpenter bees after a week.

"It's a dud"
I bought 4 of these and hung them in open sheds, a barn, a hay barn where I had problems. Also hanging a few feet away was a home made Carpenter Bee trap with the mason jar screwed to the bottom and a wooden tiny house on top with a hole in it. I have not caught one wasp or carpenter bee on any of my four, just lots of small flying insects and I hope they are not my fly predators! The jar in my home made bee trap is half full now. I am very disappointed, to say the least.
