    "Disappointed "

Only took 6 hours for our coonhound to get it bent backwards and chewed. It should be a little longer too. Got an a size xl and her nose sticks out from it.

"Good, economical e-collar for post surgical incision protection"

Looked around the internet and found these collars on Jeffers for a great price. We get about 100 spay/neuter surgeries done for dogs and cats each year (I run a humane society and we provide free spay/neuter for the pets of our low income citizens) I send every animal home with an e-collar to prevent licking out stitches and subsequent infection. These are about 1/4 of the price of the collars sold by the clinic...a great investment for your post surgical pets.

Our dog was able to still lick his wounds as it is too bendable.

I used this cone after my kittens surgery, as I was directed to. About 3 days after his surgery I hear him meowing like crazy and turns out he had gotten his entire lower half of his mouth stuck in the long vertical open holes at the bottom of the cone. Also, one of his finger nails was stuck completely in one of the holes. We had to struggle extremely hard to get his mouth out of the cone. He was bleeding everywhere, he has a large cut on the bottom of his mouth now, he scratched the skin on his hands down to the point of blood. He had blood all over all of his paws. This is the WORST PRODUCT IVE EVER USED. I will never put one of my animals in these again. The cone should not be made to allow this to happen!!! My kittens mouth is small enough to have fit in the holes, and he's 8 months now, imagine this on younger and smaller kittens!! I was literally scared for my cat, he was bleeding everywhere and it was very horrific for something that they basically push on you saying you have to buy after the surgery!

    "lost snaps"

These are not the most comfortable collars and the snaps do pop off. I have lost several of them. They do serve the purpose and will work on cats with only 1 snap. They are easy to adjust to your pets neck size.

    "Not the greatest"

Does not work at all on my calm chow-chow. She doesnt like these+she bangs her head front forward into wall till plastic cracks+ breaks off. Knew there had to be a better-more comfortable way, so bought cloud kong+ comfy cone which she doesnt mind! She is 13+ not a puppy but cant stand this plastic cone. I use sometimes this type for my yorkies+ so far it works but not that comfortable to wear day+night. Closure snaps dont work too good for me even on yorkies. Swithched them to both the other comfy+kong cones, which they can rest in+work happier!

Fasterners are not the greatest but are a lot easier than the threaded type. I simply put a piece of duck tape over it and it stays extremely well. This has been a life saver for our Giant Schnauzer who is allergic to fleas and topical flea remedies.

    "Bad fastener design"

I bought 3 of these.. And I still have 2 sitting in the cupboard. The fasteners suck big time.. They kept popping undone everytime the puppy would catch it on something.. I much prefer the old ones that you threaded thru and fastened..
