"Zupreme Primate Dry Diet"
My capuchin and lemurs love them. I’ve been feeding the Zupreme Primate Dry Diet since they were old enough to eat solids. They will soak the biscuits in their water, or I pre soften them in a non breakable feeding bowl with non sugar fruit juice or milk. In addition, I give them vegetables, fruit, and peanuts, walnuts or pecans. In the evening, they get a special cookie treat. My capuchin is now a healthy 24 years old and my lemurs are 12 years old. They are fully active, inquisitive and playful. They bring my home much enjoyment. I am grateful to Jeffers for keeping these biscuits in stock. Thank you.
Great company and staff, orders shipped fast and great selections.
there was a lot of dry powder in this order.
"Great Tortoise Food"
I've been feeding my desert tortoise this for years, they love it!!!
I have been feeding my primates this for almost 30 years. It is the perfect base diet. Since it is dry it does not attract insect and it keeps their teeth clean and their stool firm. Of course with ANY primate you need to supplement with fresh fruit and veggies but not so much that it sits around growing bacteria.
"Great Parrot Food"
"I've been using this product for 22 yrs. Before specialized avian weaning foods, this was it. The biscuits soak up warm water or juice like a sponge without crumbline or breaking apart easily. Adult birds just love squeezing the juice out then eating the ""sponge"". I only have 2 birds so 20lbs last a long time; I've found it works well as an emergency dog biscuit also! The closest thing to it that the birds accept is SIX times the price!"
"Macaws love it"
It may say primate but the macaws just love it. Can not get enough and only give 5 per day, but want more.
I would not even feed this to a rat. The first ingredient is corn, then soybean meal, then more grain. Primates need fresh vegetables and some meat, not almost indigestible grains with low bio-availability. And the preservatives include Butylated Hydroxy Anisol and ethoxyquin, both of which are proven to be carcinogenic and cause birth defects and kidney/liver failure. Bad product.
This is the only food I will buy for my monkeys that they will eat. This is what they use at the Zoo also.
