Pritchard Teat Nipples
Specially designed for orphaned lambs. Shaped like a ewe's nipple. The metal leak-proof flutter valve inside allows air to flow in smoothly but controls milk flow and prevents collapse.
Slice the tip with a razor or scissors to create the appropriate opening size. Screws on to most plastic pop/soda bottles.
These are the original Pritchard nipples from New Zealand.

"Lifesaver!"
In response to the folks who can't get the nipples to flow, just cut a tiny bit off the tip of the nipple and it works fine. We use these only for our Nubian kids as the other types are too thick to enable suckling easily.

"No flow~"
I simply can't figure these nipples out. I've purchased so many now and when you first get them there is NO FLOW! I have made tiny holes in the end and still no flow. Then I've made slightly larger holes in the tip and the milk just flows freely so the goat doesn't have to suckle, just sit there and let the milk flow in! I tried poking a paper clip through the air hole and a metal ball few out and milk flowed then from the nipple end and the air hold and milk went all over the place. I'm really stuck with how to get these things to deliver milk only when the goat suckles on it and not just from tipping the bottle upside down. Any suggestions!

"The best!"
We've used these nipples for years for bottle feeding our nigerian dwarf kids. From newborn to weaning, we've never found a better nipple. Love the fact that it works so well for newborns and doesn't choke them.

"Feeding Orfans"
We have found this to be the best nipple out there for feeding newborn kids. They accept the nipple faster than others. Milk flow is more even, and don't choke as easily as with other nipples we have tried.

"Great for weak/newborn kids!"
These are excellent for newborn or weak kids, as they cannot latch onto the thicker or stiff ones very well in the beginning. Have used these for many years and will continue to! Snip the smallest amount off the tip that you possibly can for the milk to flow out, do not take too much off! If you take too much off the milk will flow too fast and it can asperate into the lungs.

"wouldn't buy"
I have tried these nipples for 3 years and have only gotten frustrated trying to put them in the babies mouths. They are not firm enough to work with while teaching a kidd to take a bottle. I am throwing them away this year.

"Always on hand"
I keep Soay sheep which are a pretty small breed. Though they tend to be VERY good mothers, a couple of times I've been surprised suddenly with a tiny, squirming bottle baby. For such tiny little mouths, this is the only teat I've been able to get them to nurse on. I've never had problems with the little ball falling out when I wash them... perhaps I've just been lucky?

"Great for premies!"
These are great for slow or early goat kids. Be careful on how much you snip off the end to start - start small, and then take little bits until you get to the right size hole. The downside to these are that you have to keep an eye on the little ball in the valve hole when you are cleaning them.

"Wonderful for goats"
We use this all the time for bottle kids. I love the fact that it's soft but yet durable to withstand the abuse the kids give it. Just make sure you have the soda bottle that works and won't leak. Different brands have different tops.

I have tried all types of nipples on our nigerian dwarf kids, and the pritchard nipple is the only one that the kids will nurse from. The air hole allows constant flow for the kid while they are feeding. Great product.

"The best for baby goats!"
When it comes to bottle feeding baby goats there is absolutely nothing better that the Pritchard nipple. It is so convenient since it fits onto a regular plastic Coke bottle. It's also very easy for the newborns and can be cut at the tip to open it more as the kids get older. I have also found them to be very hardy and long lasting. I'm still using some from two years ago without any issues at all.

"Excellent"
These are by far the best nipples for bottlefeeding goats. They do not leak. The only draw back is trying not to loose the little ball when cleaning.
