"hate this piece of cr@p"
Words cannot describe how much I hate this waterer. I bought several designs for my chicken sanctuary, and when it comes time to fill this waterer, the rage starts percolating within my heart. This this is such a piece of garbage that it's impossible to twist the bottom on without spilling 2/3 of the water on yourself. Why? Beucase the plastic is extremely soft and there are four tabs that have to simultaneouslly slide into the proper slot. Because the plastic sides are so flexible, if you manage to get one tab into the proper position, chances are good that the other three are totally out of position. It takes about 10 minutes of struggling to get the damn bottom screwed on, when it should only take 20 seconds. Also, sometimes I walk by the waterer so see only about 2 drops of water in the trough part and a lot of thirsty birds. So you have to shake the piece of cr@p to get the water to even come out.
"Waste of money"
This product is horrible. It's like putting together a puzzle with missed matched pieces. If you are lucky enough to get it together the water don't come out at all or it pours all out. It literally took an hour to get one top on after my husband cut more holes so the water would come out. Waste of money.
"Does NOT snap together"
I noticed that it says under the description that they changed this item and its now a different one, and I don't know if its because of that, but this definitely does not snap together. In fact, we had quite a struggle getting it to go together, but after that it was fine. We will see how it holds up.
"Works great for me"
I haven't had trouble with mine cracking. I've left mine out for extended periods of time. The plastic is faded, but not cracked. I like this one better than the top fillers.
After about 2 months of UV rays the plastic starts to break down, becomes brittle & starts cracking. The same thing occurred with the ones used indoors, but it took close to a year for those to break down enough to crack.
