"not waterproof"
It does a good job at keeping the cords connected but it is far from waterproof.

I bought a few of these to use around the farm. They dont seem to fit a regular extension cord perfectly (16 ga orange cord) because I cant screw them together enough so that the holes are covered. I still like them as a seconday protection factor of the connection though.
