"Automatic Waterer by Fortex"
We have used these waterers for years, absolutely love them. Has screw in stopper for easy draining and cleaning, gives horses fresh water each day. Very little maintenance
"Overall good waterer"
I have 2 of these now. They are great compared to others at the same price. The one downfall is the connector from the hose to the float is touchy. I am going to try some hose tape and see if that helps. The size is good since just in case the water goes out, 5 gal is enough to keep the animals in a water till I can manually refill. No leakage from the drain and the float works well.
"I LOVE THESE WATERERS!"
I LOVE these waterers! I just purchased my 4th one. My original ones are still good after 4 summers (I take them down & store them in the barn loft in the winter) I bought a 3rd one not realizing it had no drain plug built in (it came with a cheap little plug that I have never drilled a hole for - with no plug it is a pain to clean) I purchased this model as the 4th one because it HAS a drain plug. I find that they are durable if you mount them where the horses can't bang them around. I have had some trouble with the connections leaking but new washers usually fix it. We have them hooked up with quick connect hose ends so they are easier to set up & remove. I bought an extra float but have never had to use it. The only issue I have had was with a horse who liked to play with the hose & would get it unhooked ! If you buy one make sure it is the model with the built in drain plug.
