"quick to heat"
I really like the weight, power, and ergonomic design of these clippers. Also, that the filters are an improvement from those that come with the Lister Star. On the down side, they do heat up quickly and the user guide advises not to use a blade coolant.
"Heat up too fast, disappointing"
Did a lot of research before buying this. Was looking for something that would do pigs and goats. It works great on pigs and goat bodies, fast, smooth and powerful. But we were very disappointed because the blades get extremely hot to the touch (i.e. hot enough to burn the animal) in a very short period of time. Even with cooling spray every few minutes, you have to shut them off to cool fairly often. We are sure they are tensioned correctly, as we have done it as directed in the instructions. For what I spent, I expect them to stay cool as advertised.
"Best Clippers for under $300.00 on Market"
I have used many different brands of clippers over a my short 2 years of shears lambs and sheep. This is by far the most powerful to weight tool on the market today. This machine motor stays cooler while using than any other machine do to the rear exhaust. Same easy setup as all the other Wahl / Lister products. I wish I got a bag with each of my 3 machine when I purchased them but the carry case is nice that it is supplied with. This tool is like driving a BMW other imports. True German Engineering
Great clippers! They work great. They are not to heavy after clipping a cow/bull. They have a long cord on them as well!
