These are dangerous awful halters for alpacas. We have raised alpacas for over 12 years. I was thrilled to see jeffers finally offering an alpaca halter until we used them. The band is soft nylon and it collapses on the alpacas nose when you lead. ALPACAS ONLY breathe thru their nose. So this is not only a dangerous halter it is also frightening to the animal and very bad to use for any kind of training or on the young.. Beware until jeffers figures out that alpacas need rigid nylon to protect their airway!!
