Biological Fly Control by Kunafin
Kunafin customers get more for every dollar!
Fly parasites are a very important part of a Total Fly Management Program. Tiny Kunafin parasites attack fly pupa preventing flies from hatching yet will not bother you or your animals. They are host specific.
Fly parasites are used to control unhatched flies only. For full fly control, be sure to use with other options, including sprays, traps, and/or baits.
Each wasp has a lifespan of 18 - 21 days and a reproduction rate per wasp of 300-600. The parasites should be distributed throughout the fly breeding areas when flies begin emerging on a regular basis, during fly season.
With Kunafin, releasing fly parasites is easy as 1-2-3.
- Open the bag.
- Sprinkle like salt & pepper in areas such as fence edges, manure piles, around water troughs and on any places for potential fly breeding.
- Keep sustaining proper fly parasite releases during the fly season.
For over 50 years Kunafin has been working with major agriculture operations, domestically and internationally, to find the best solution for each specific situation. Today Kunafin continues to develop fly management programs for horse, dairy, feedlots, poultry, alpaca, goats, sheep, swine, dogs, companion animals, and any potential fly breeding facility. Kunafin maintains eleven (11) different species of parasitic wasps for the broadest protection available in biological pest control.
For any questions or concerns, contact Kunafin at (800) 832-1113.
While other companies take 2 to 3 weeks for delivery, Kunafin will ship within 3 to 4 days after purchase.

"Thank you for this product "
I was going crazy with flys live on a cattle ranch in northern California, flys never stop till I found these little darlings they work no flys in my house now. they take care of the problem even with 6 big annottlie/bluetick guardian dogs n 40 head cattle with my house in middle of field they fix my fly problem. Thank you again
"Not impressed "
I couldn’t tell that they hatched out. I haven’t seen any impact whatsoever on the population of flies.
"These Things Work!"
I live in Florida where flies are bad year around. I order these in Spring, put them out then am good until July when I refresh the predators by putting out another bag. they reduce my fly load to almost zero! When you put them out wait until you see about 100 crawling around inside the bag - it means the bag is hatching. then sprinkle them around the edges of your barns, fences, etc. Anywhere close to the manure sources which is where they prey on the flies. Remember: if you use topical fly sprays, do it away from the place you spread the predators as the fly spray will kill them too.
When I received parasites there was only a few alive. So not sure if they did not hatch this is my first time using this. I have seen zero reduction in the flies. I bought the largest amount and it has not helped. I'm on half acre and have 20 goats. We clean there pins daily
"Biological fly control"
The shipping price in the MIDDLE OF THE FLY SEASON WENT FROM 6.99 to $28.99!!!!! N O T...OK!!! Had to stop shipments at that point and buy from another producer. BIG let down from Jeffers! Prior to that debacle, I was seeing better results from the Kunefin product than from a competitors product I have used in past fly seasons. Very disappointed to be so financially let down at the height of fly season.
"Biological fly control by Kunafin"
I have used this at my barn (18 horses) for 4 years. My next door neighbor has about 18 horses. People at my barn have said that the neighbor has 3 times more flies.
"we get these every year"
We live on old farm land & we have 3 dogs. We have flies out the wazoo. It's not just us, our whole neighborhood has them bad. The wasp work great! Just wish they would get rid of ALL of them. Definitely 75% if not more are gone. Thank you lil wasp
"Don't waste your money"
I gave this a try for two years since the first year I started late according to the company. So to be fair I started early really didn't have much luck the first month but thought it might be the cool weather. They sent more the following month and the flies got worse and worse. So they automatically put me on their regular maintenance shipment that I told them that I did not want and shipped them anyway. So don't waste your time and money on kunafin spend it on some sort of insecticide. You'll be a lot happier.
First time I ever used Kunafin. It reduced our normal fly population by at least 90 percent. No spraying! Great product I would highly recommend. Jim
"Started great… ended badly"
These started out great. I have used fly predators from just about everyone over the years and have been pretty happy with most. I started using Kunafin last year and was extremely happy with them--way better than the others! I stayed on top of it, too, ordered plenty, and we were having the BEST fly season ever, despite all the rain, and increase in my farm size. I couldn't say enough good about them! Then, I got a shipment that wouldn't hatch ($80 worth). I contacted Jeffers, and, to their credit, they got Kunafin to replace the shipment. Which they did--they even doubled the order! All that was to their credit, both Jeffers and Kunafin... however, none of those hatched, either, or were extremely low hatch rate. So, a double order was as worthless as the single. Meanwhile, while waiting for them to sort out what they were going to do, I had also ordered from one of the other companies, so that I wouldn't get too far behind the flies with all this wasted time. The contrast was stark--the others' were hatching normally. I don't know what happened at Kunafin, but out of the last SIX LARGE bags I received, only one had a fairly decent hatch rate. Please note: the other company was kept in identical conditions at the same time. So, it wasn't a handling issue. I know how to handle them. Too bad… we were off to such a great start. I'll be going back to Spalding or over-priced Arbico. AND, with all the wasted time, I have flies hatching everywhere. All the money I spent earlier in the season to stay on top of it is now completely undermined. Not happy. The two stars is for Jeffers' customer service (5 star) and for Kunafin's earlier success… if not for that, they would have gotten a ZERO.
We don't have to use any other form of fly control at our barn -- or house -- after putting these out 3 times sporadically over a period two years. They do not work on deer, yellow, or horse flies, unfortunately.
I have been using this product for over 10 years from Jeffers and it works. You just have to make sure you buy enough of it it cover the area. Im onine here now to buy it for this season.
I`m a organic dairy farmer in a pasture operation. Big disappointment I have not seen any improvement in the decline of fly population.
this is the 1st year I've used this product and boy what a difference this has made for us. I'm amazed at how few flies we have this year I recommend this product!
Tried product from other companies. slow to ship . Kunafin shipped quick and ready to release with they arrived. Highly recommended .
