"Great bit for my Arab"
No open gapping mouth or head wagging on the first ride on her in 5 years. 4.75" was perfect fit for her at a great price.
"Happy horse, happy rider"
He hated the single joint snaffle I had. I went to a Mullen Pelham but really wanted the least intrusive bit I could find. I took a chance and purchased this bit. He LOVES it. No chewing, no mouthing, no head shaking, no nuthin'. It was like he had always used this bit. Straight up 5 star bit!
"Great for Arabs"
"I was having a terrible time finding the right snaffle for my Arabian. The ""break"" on regular snaffles was hitting the top of her palate and she was constantly ""behind"" the bit as a result. Like other reviewers, I searched other sites for this design and found it - in the 4 3/4 size we needed! Now we are ""on"" the bit, happy, and the head shaking and jitters are gone. Thanks, Jeffers for offering the smaller size and great pricing."
Jeffers has the best price on this bit - I checked several other vendors. A very gentle bit that is not too thick or heavy. After using this you'll never go back to a single jointed snaffle.
"Best bit you can get!"
My horse that detests snaffles loves this bit. He loves the center oval piece and I think the curved mouthpiece helps him accept it better also. When I first received this in the mail it seemed fairly big and heavy (I purchased the 5 1/2 inch mouthpiece) but my horse has no problems with it whatsoever and it fits him perfectly. No more head tossing! Also, the price is wonderful. You can't beat it anywhere else!
You can't beat the design of this bit, horses react so much better to that jointed mouthpiece, as it says in the description it's much easier on the bars of the mouth and won't pinch the tongue, throw your regular snaffles out.
