I ordered this blanket for my mare and I love it. It fits her perfectly, has stayed in place, even with her rolling around in the dirt and mud. Keeps her warm and dry! I ordered a different blanket for my other horse because they didn't have this one in her size, and boy do I wish I had this one for her. Put the other one on and not even a day later she had it hanging crooked off to one side. Pull it over to the correct position and right back it goes, off to the side again. If and when they get this blanket back in her size, I will be ordering her one! I highly do recommend this blanket!
"Great blanket except for front chest closures"
Nicely made blanket. However, I do not care for and have already had problems with the front enclosure. I would have preferred a standard buckle type and will be more careful to look for this next time I order a blanket.
"The best blanket at the best price!!"
Amazing quality! My horse likes to rub his body on the fence which has destroyed every blanket I have owned! Some within 24hrs!! Thia blanket is holding up extremely well. Material is super thick, it dries quickly, and has a good fit. Do yourself a favor and buy it!
"Very well made."
I ordered two rain sheets, sizes 80 & 81. They were identical. When I put the 80 on my paint, I couldn’t get the front closed, it was about 5” too short. The 81 fit my thoroughbred perfectly. Definitely for narrower chested horses.
Super blanket for a SUPER price! Everyone stops and inquires about Lewis’ blanket! It’s durable, the perfect medium weight (our nights get down to about 35 and Lewis is kept body clipped) he’s plenty warm without sweating by 9am. Lewis is sporting a size 84 as an 18h, 1300lb Hanoverian , he also has a VERY high wither, this blanket has accommodated his size and shape without any rubbing or irritation. The belly guard and triple surcingle are FANTASTIC! To anyone worrying about Velcro and shavings... a hard fine tooth comb pulls anything and everything out of the Velcro. Washes up super! I had Lewis embroidered on the front and it looks like a custom blanket!
"Jeffers 1680D Supreme Plus Horse Blanket"
This blanket fits my horse perfectly. It’s light weight but keeps her warm. I like it because it covers most of her belly keeping her warmer underneath. It only took a few days to get it in the mail which surprised me, I thought it would take longer. I loved the price.
"Best blanket ever"
I have a 3 yr old that went thru 5 blankets in one season. He is the destroyer. This is the only blanket that doesnt slip or move around and that he hasnt destroyed. It feels high quality especially for this price. My only criticisms are 1) lack of adjustment in the neck and 2) only two colors. I live the belly band. A lot of other reviews say it runs small but I thought it ran true to size. It's the best blanket I have bought and if they come out with more colors I will replace all my blankets with these.
"would get this one again"
no complaints so far and the fit is very very good. I have it on a 27 year old OTTB that is NOT set on blanket destruction. he does like to roll some but this blanket stays in place very well.
"Not good for males"
This is a great blanket for mares, however not so great for geldings, at least young ones. Not sure how it would be for older bigger bodied horses. The belly band goes to for back and gets filled with pee.
"Love this blanket"
This is a fantastic blanket. It rivals some of the more expensive blankets my horse has and I would buy this all day every day. It's durable, fits well, looks good and is a great price to boot. I'll definitely be buying this again when it's time to replace!
"B & M Quarter horses"
I sprayed these blankets with Scotchgard because my horses are out in the pasture with trees and branches and when it downpours rain the water just rolls off of them and they’re the best blankets they said the best and trust me I’ve been through hundreds of blankets
I learnt about this blanket after watching a youtube video by The Budget Equestrian. She is right! There is no reason to spend more money for a winter blanket. This is well made and the quality is good. The price is reasonable and it fits well if you buy a bigger size. My horse uses 81, but because of what they say in the reviews, I ordered an 84 and it fits him perfectly well! It also shipped very quick. I ordered on Tuesday and I got it on Thursday, right before a very cold night :-) I recommend this product!
I'm totaly in love with it! The color is gorgeous and the fit is amazing. Good fabric, I like the belly band.
I LOVE these blankets I bought last year for my mare it was dark teal this year i bought again in plum for my other mare - I am seriously hoping they continue to make these I would love 2 more in Navy and 2 more in fuschia or a raspberry --- these make grooming light colored horses bellys soo much better would buy again just wish they would offer more color choices they hold up wash well I am looking at blankets 2 yrs old look and wear like new!
"Why use Velcro on a belly band? "
The idea of the Velcro closures on this belly band was poorly thought out! First off, the Velcro doesn’t even match up with each other. On 1 side, you have 1 continues strand of Velcro running the length of the belly band. While on the opposite side, you have 3 small pieces of Velcro, running perpendicular. These are all on the bottom of the blanket, so that when the horse lays down, the Velcro gets bedding embedded in it, meaning after about a week, the Velcro, is virtually useless! Poor design! Now, even with the 3 buckles that are supposed to help, the belly band is now just a flap, that basically hangs down.
