- hygienic floors
- folds flat for easy transportation and storage
- top and side doors for easy access
- pans slide out for easy cleaning
Setup InstructionsStep 1: Unfold
Stand pen on floor with handles up. Open the pen by pulling the left side then the right side out. Pull the sections of the panels which are inverted to form a complete square.
Step 2: Insert Pan(s)
Insert the pan(s) underneath the front door panel. Pan(s) lock into place between the four legs
Step 3: Install Floors
Hold one of the black floor panels so that the four end prongs are toward you and facing down. Standing in front of the front door panel, lower floor panel straight up and down into the pen with the two side prongs at the center of the hinged sides. The two side prongs lock at the desired height. The four-prong side is lowered and the prongs will hook and lock over outside edges on the front door panel. (The floors can be placed at any level, giving you five different height options.)* Lower the second floor in the same manner.
Step 4: Latch Top
The top panel (attached to the panel without a door) is closed by bringing it upwards and placing the side prongs underneath the top side wire and then latching the side hooks over the top side wire. The other top panel swings up and is locked by squeezing both top panels together causing the hooks on the front top to latch over the rear top wire.
*18" & 24" wide Puppy Pens have one-piece floor. 48" floors have interlocking tabs for extra support.

"It's been a NIGHTMARE!!"
There are no legs so the poops just get raked off the pan when you slide it out!
"It's been a NIGHTMARE!!"
I was so excited to get this pen for my fur babies! But the poops don't go through, and so I pushed them through with a garden spade. Yuck! Then when I went to slide out the trays, which I had covered with puppy training pads, the poops just got raked off the tray with the front edge! OMG what can I do??!! I had to unassembled the whole pen and clean everything!! What to do to fix this problem?? I put a blue tarp to at least protect my carpeted floor, but geez, I can disassemble it every day!! I've tried to order the 1" floor grid, to no avail! Still poops would take off under the pen! HELP!!
"Side door issue"
It's my fault for not scrutinizing the description, but I have never seen doors on the side of a crate. The crate fits where I wanted it to go, but without a door on the END of it, I can't use it. So much for the excitement when it arrived! As an extra comment the tray was dented on a corner and side from shipping. It would have been usable.
This is my 2nd one and they make raising puppies so much easier
I was first shopping on Amazon for a puppy playpen bc I wanted something that was adjustable, would elevate my puppies, keep them out of contact with their pee and poop, and easy to clean. The reviews on the other brands were so bad, I was afraid to invest in them. I saw excellent reviews on this one and the price was even better, so I tried it. I love it! It folds up flat and easy! I did secure the floor with 2 zip ties bc I had read in a review of a different brand that a puppy could get his foot stuck. This didn't seem likely, but better safe than sorry. My puppies are vastly more confident than being in a normal/not elevated crate. It's super easy to feed, get them out and clean everything. My other dogs were obnoxious when I had paper in the pan trying to get to the dropped food. We put pine shavings in it and that solved the issue, plus it smells great. I give a solid 5 stars for great quality, usefulness and all at a great price!!!
I have raised puppies in many set ups over the years but this pen is the best ever. I combine this with the exercise pen and my puppies are off the floor for sleeping and virtually housebreak themselves!
"48 X 48 size large puppy pen"
I think I'm going to Love the product but didn't come with any instructions and the box was torn apart during delivery. Thankful the contents were ok. You could really use instructions with this. It's not that hard its just that it weighs about 70 lbs so if you have it upside down it's not fun to turn over by yourself. Also, the product would be great it you could totally remove the top caging panels and use only when you want to. The front latch door would be nice if it came with a ramp so the puppies could come and go between the big cage to a Ex-pen area for extended play area.
"Best investment ever made"
I have been using the puppy playpens for approx 8 yrs now and there is no better way to raise a litter after they are weaned.Puppies love them and it gets them use to a crate before leaving for their new homes.Customers are very pleased at how well puppies take to crate training. The 36x18 is perfect for new puppy owners who have to be gone several hrs during the day. I recommend this to allot of my customers. The playpen can be used as a crate once the puppy is weaned.Lower the rack and use the gate like you would with any crate.
Jeffers puppy pens are the best investment we have ever made for our breeding program. The puppies are placed in the pens after whelping with the jeffers drymate whelping pad that fits on the floor perfectly (with small clamps to ensure mom dont bunch it up with her nesting instinct). When they get a little older we removed the whelping pad when their little paws will not fit through the wire floor. It is very sanitary as they are not stepping in their own feces. Its very easy to pull the pans out to clean. We use jeffers disposable puppy pads to soak up the mess and then simply throw the pads right in the trash. It saves a ton of time with a litter of puppies. It is great for an individual puppy too when you cant be home. We put a puppy pad (with a holder) directly in the pen. This way the puppy learns to go to the pad for housebreaking, but if they make a mistake its an easy cleanup. It is great that you can either get the puppies out from the top (which opens completely) or from the side door. We already have 2 and are ordering a 3rd. They are built to last and are the greatest pen on the market!!!
