    "First time every time."

Once you put it on and give it a try you'll always use it; saves time and prevents frustration. Especially handy if you have hay or containers in the truck bed that might block the view of the ball.

    "Works great"

After getting a new Ford F 250, I found it was so hard to hook up my gooseneck. This is the best $20. I ever spent! Look in your rear view mirror and it lines up perfect. I tried it 4 times and hit it perfect every time!

The only thing that works better is a camera. I have one and use it all the time. It has saved me soooo much time and aggravation.

This item is a lifesaver for me. I’m not very tall and with my trifold tonneau cover it was impossible for me to see the end of my tailgate much less the ball so backing under my gooseneck was always a guessing game. This does exactly what it says. Once and done. I love it!

I was disappointed. I can backup and still be off over the ball enough that I can't get connected. Now the 'helper' is off the ball which means I have to crawl back and put it on again. First time was not the charm for me!

"Best gooseneck hook up tool ever! "

I bought this because not only am I short but so is he bed of my truck making it impossible to see the hitch line up. My husband told me I needed more practice, ya ok, mind you I have to help him when he's hooking up! Who is the one that needs practice? Anyways, I went a head and bought this and used it as suggested.... use your rear view mirror, as soon as the yellow pipe falls over (not touches or even leans slightly, wait till it falls) brake the truck and put on your emergency park brake and vailo!!! It took me 2x the first time to perfect it, waaaaayyy better then getting out of the truck 50x!! I made my husband use it and he was just as impressed as me! I keep it in my gooseneck so it's always accessible. Buy it!!!

    "YES! YES! YES!"

Best money I have ever spent! I am new to pulling a gooseneck and I hook up the first time, every time! It makes hooking up a gooseneck trailer so easy! Pay attention the the review that talks about only using your rear view mirror! If you look over your shoulder this will not work.

Then one day flipping through the Jeffers catalog I saw the hook up helper. I ordered one immediately. I anxiously awaited its arrival and two days later it was here. Before the UPS man could get out of the driveway I was on my way to the barn to try this thing out. I put it on the gooseneck ball, jumped in the driver seat and proceeded to back up. I carefully looked over my shoulder to make sure everything was perfect. It looks lined up so I put on the brake and jumped out only to find I had missed again. I tried several times but no luck with it. What was wrong with me? What have I gotten myself into with this goose neck? Am I gooseneck hook up challenged ? With a sore neck and a lot of frustration I decided to just look in the rearview mirror and back up. It worked! I tried it a few more times it was working! I was so excited that I tried it one last time looking over my shoulder and missed. Hmmm? I tried it again looking in the rear-view mirror it worked! There were no directions with this thing. I concluded that the only way to make it work was to look in the rearview mirror. The reason I wrote this was to save someone else a lot of frustration and time. They need to put a warning label on the device that says: "DO NOT LOOK OVER SHOULDER WHEN IN USE" This hookup helper is great! I love it!

I recently switched from a bumper pull to my lifelong dream, a gooseneck. The first time that I tried to hook up the gooseneck I thought I was trailer hookup challenged. I went back and forth and back and forth, it took me almost 45 minutes to get this thing hooked up. I figured the gooseneck was new and when I got used to it hooking it up would be faster. WRONG! After a dozen times or so it wasn't getting any easier. I was devastated and began looking for reasons to avoid hooking up the gooseneck, like not going antwhere.

    "WORTH IT"

Ok, I drive a Ford F350 superduty 4dr with an 8ft bed. The middle back seat has an unremovable head rest and no matter what Ive tried ( including bright tape down the nose and truck bed and Im 507), I could not see the ball and it was in and out of the truck over and over if no one was around to help me hook up my horse trailer. I tried the pipe insulation trick first.. it did not work. Finally bought this, and what an awesome tool. It worked perfectly the first time! I could see it and line it up just by using my rear mirror. At first, it hit, but did not pop all the way off..I checked, and it was because I was not quite all the way over the ball yet. When I backed up another half inch or so, it popped completely off and I was lined up perfect! Have already recommended it to friends.

I have been pulling Goosenecks for 35 years and this the best hook-up tool I have ever found. This makes hooking up your railer very easy the first time......especially useful with a 4 door truck where it is nearly impossible to see the ball. As soon as you bump this tube off the ball with the trailer neck, you are excatly where you need to be.
