    "best feed bag"

I have a couple hard-keeper thoroughbreds that need a bit more food than my others, so as another reviewer suggested, I purchased the draft sized bag for those guys. My only complaint with the feed bags is that if you add any powdery/granular supplements to your feed, it can sift/blow out of the mesh sides. I discovered that the 8qt 'personal pails' fit down inside the draft bags perfectly. So, I leave the feed in the small buckets, drop them down into the bags, and then slip over the horses' ears. Works perfectly, and I'm now satisfied that my horses are getting the full amounts of their supplements.

    "Good, if monitored"

I have purchased 6 of these bags. My first review was that they are excellent. After having them for a few months, if the horse is not monitored until the last kernel of grain is consumed, you risk them shredding the front bottom seam of the bag. This x 4 adds up. I had the draft size bag, which I HIGHLY recommend if you feed 2+ scoops of grain. If less than 2 scoops, the horse size will work. The horse size won't work for me with my geriatric horses who require more senior feed. I'd get the DRAFT size if I order again, and watch them like a hawk so as to not destroy the front bottom seam again (which SHOULD be reinforced to make this a perfect product).

    "Best training aid ever"

Yes I use it to teach many calm behaviors. Horses learn to enjoy being saddled and groomed when it means food. They don't hold a lot 1-2 lbs, and if left on too long they wear out the bottom eventually. Also feeding time is much calmer when the boss horse has a feed bag to deep down the fuss and fighting.

    "Great Product"

No wasted grain, no fat mare sharing grain with my older horse. Love it.

    "AWESOME and worth the money!"

Have had two of these for a few months and use them twice daily. No complaints. I can give my horses dewormer and supplemts in their feed and they have no choice but to consume it all. Will definitely purchase more if these ever give out. I've recouped the cost of them in feed that would have otherwise been dropped and wasted. Highly recommend these.

    "It falls apart"

I bought this bag with the thought that my horse is not that hard on stuff so this should be fine.. but it fell apart on the second day. It is a nice feed bag and the size is good but the bottom mesh lets go of the stitching and they fall apart.

    "Great for older horses!"

These are the best feed bags I've found! I have 10 horses and using these bags I'm sure each horse is getting the amount they need! The bags keep the dominant horses from taking feed from the horses lower on the pecking order! If they chase another horse, they just take their feed with them so the bullies give up! You must take off the bags as soon as the horse is finished or they will try to remove it themselves! That's the only time I've had to replace a bag. Good product that provides excellent durability!

    "Falls Apart Quickly"

Its a great feed bag other than it doesn't last very long. I've had one that the strap ripped out from and two others that developed holes at the bottom where the mesh meets the bottom. Lasts about 6 months, tops. But probably pretty good for intermittent use.

    "So Glad I Tried This!"

For years I've had horses strew their grain around as they eat & destroy their feeders. I've tried all the feeders & nothing stopped them. No more! This feed bag works perfectly & I'm going to buy more.

    "Weight Saver"

Have an auction horse we have been trying to put weight on but he would waste his food by slinging it everywhere....NOW he is not wasting a bit and is putting weight on faster and seems more food satisfied! Thinking about getting more of these for traveling with the hores! Love it!

    "Extremely Pleased So Far"

I almost did not order this feed bag based on the first 2 reviews, but I'm very glad I did. I have a 4 year old Cracker Filly who has always been a Sloppy eater. She wastes more than she eats. I've tried everything and finally decided on a feed bag. It arrived yesterday and she ate her supper from it. I watched and even tho she tossed her head nothing spilled out and she ate every morsel. I like the construction. It is made similar to a fly mask and seems very sturdy. I wash it when she is done and hang it to dry. Breakfast today was a breeze for her. Price is reasonable as well.

"Not as good as others I have purchased"

I usually purchase a similar item from another company, I ordered them here because they were less expensive. The first one broke in two days, the remaining all have holes in the bottom or on the sides. It has been less than 6 months and I already have to order new ones. The ones I normally order last at least a year. Don?ÇÖt buy these feed bags, spend a little extra for the quality ones. It will save you money in the long run.

"what you see may not be what you get"

I bought this fee bag before, but it had a plastic buckle which eventually breaks. This one was a bit more expensive, but shows a picture with a metal clip, so I ordered it. There was no brass clip like in the picture, but just an ordinary plastic buckle again. Although the picture didn't match the item, I must say that it's made better than the old ones. I like the improved elastic on the straps, making it a better fit and easier on the horse's head.

    "Best solution ever!"

I have an old horse that eats slow, looks around often, spills a lot, and gets pushed away from her feed by other horses. It's hard to keep weight on her already, so this is the perfect solution. Feed goes in the bag, she can look around, walk away, feed drops back into the bag if she dribbles, and the other horses lose interest in her quickly because there's no bucket.
