"Great customer service"
I emailed the company about my disappointment in the quality of the toy I bought, (was chewed up in 3 days). They were super nice, sent me a new toy, it has held up to "virtually indestructible".
I bought one of these for my bulldog, He chewed the sides off within a couple of days. Not worth $14.99.
"not for serious chewers"
The Bento ball was toast before the first chew was finished--but she did have a great time working at it. Because it was rubbery soft and flexible, I did not think it would last as long as it did, so then I became complacent... I wasn't aware that my girl had torn the rim off the Bento until I heard the clack of the treat remainder popping out of it. We had a large (for a 45 lb APBT) and I'd recommend going up a size to make it harder for "middle weight" chewers.
"Found how to insert next chew treat"
I haven't found any THING my dog can't chew up but she gets bored after the dome is gone from this treat. Let me tell you how to insert the next chew. Take out the old one, rinse the silicone toy AND the chew. Squeeze the toy and insert the chew. Should slip in easily.
"Not for heavy chewers"
I bought the largest one for my two pitbull mixes, and it did okay at first. The treat lasted for about 30 minutes and then came out really easily. The replacement treat was impossible to get into the toy, so I gave it back to the dogs by itself, and within 10 minutes a chunk was gone. This toy is NOT "Virtually indestructible".
"Great for Heavy Chewer"
"The ball comes with one treat in the package. This was an excellent choice for my heavy-chewer Doberman. If a treat is in the ball he has figured out how to remove it almost instantly, but he chews on the ball with or without the treat inside. The ball is very soft and squishy and I thought he'd tear it up instantly, but in three months of heavy use it shows little wear. It's very elastic and has a lot of ""give"", so instead of breaking off pieces the ball stretches and snaps back into shape. Treats are solid and thick, so they do require some effort to eat, and I've learned that it takes him longer to get them out if I insert them upside-down. "
"Best I've Found!"
My boxer mix is an insatiable chewer! I spend a small fortune keeping him in rawhide chews because even large bones only last a day! Treats, even Kong are usually gone in minutes. I just got this toy friday. I put the first everlasting treat in as the photo shows, and he had it out and eaten within 5 minutes. Today I put the next treat in backward! Yup, the cone into the toy, and the hollow bottom showing. He has been working on the treat off and on ALL DAY! What a great toy. I only hope this lasts! It has keep him occupied, and happy. He carries it from room to room following me as I work, and he is not bored! So far I love this treat!
these are great fun for your dog. the toy is made out of what feels like a almost gell like rubber? this makes it very soft to chew on but is unbelivablly strong. the replacable treat center only adds to the enjoyment. if you have a large dog, i would definatley go with the large size and not the med. this is a favorite at our house!
