"Gain and No Pain"
I use these rakes after I bath my Afghan Hounds. You can use them on their coats while wet and it does not pull the hair like dry bushing. If there are any mats close to the skin these combs remove them easily. It makes grooming so much easier and the dogs feel no pain from any pulling. Love these combs and have been using them for years.
We used this on eighteen sheep. When you work on that many you hand and wrist get very tired. This rake has a new angle to holding it and it sure makes a difference. Works great for cutting through the mats.
"Best rake ever!!!!!"
"We have a 120 lb. Wooly Malamute female. If your not familiar w/this type of coat, just imagine a Malamute's thick fur, combined w/that of a Collie's long, lush, fine coat. As you can imagaine, it was next to impossible to groom her w/out causing discomfort. I found this rake while searching Jeffers for some new grooming tools, hoping to find one that worked better for her. Well, I found it! What's great about the ""Jeffer's Dematting Rake"", is it doesn't tug or pull. A regular undercoat rake would snag in her coat, making grooming sessions very unpleasant. Eventually, I'd just give up & cut the hair if it got too bad. She didn't seem to mind, but it made for some pretty sketchy looking grooming if you ask me:( On the first try with the ""Jeffer's Dematting Rake"", the results where fantastic! No more tugging & pulling, undercoat was removed with ease & our baby even fell asleep halfway through the grooming session! She no longer hesitates when a good brushing is in order & we couldn't be happier w/the results! Can't beat that!!!! :D"
"Great for the outdoor dog!"
This dematting rake is the best thing that ever happened for the long-haired outdoor dog! It removes tangles with little effort and helps thin the coat in the summertime. So far, it has held up for over 2 years without a problem.
