"too small and not durable"
We bought 2 bridles since we liked the price and our mules are old enough to no longer require bits. This bridle is so small, it only fits the smallest of our mules. Since the cheap stretchy synthetic reign is not suitable for trail riding, we replaced it with regular leather reins. That worked fine for about 5-8 rides. Today I rode bareback when my bridle broke and I had just a rein with a ring at the end in my hand. Still on mule-back I had to talk my mule into turning his head to stick the rein on a random piece of bridle and we rode back home, hoping that last piece of rope around his head would not fall off completely... Needless to say both the broken and the still-wrapped bridle are going in the trash, as upon closer inspection it turned out that the reign-end of the bridle is barely secured at all: riding with those bridles means asking fate to provide an accident!
I was shocked at the poor quality of this item. It is made from fuzzy, stretchy, cheap rope-like material. It wasn't big enough for any of our horses. It went into the garbage the same day I got it -- there wasn't even any parts on it I wanted to save. This needs to be taken out of your inventory.
"Too small and not durable."
this was too small for my gelding who wears a cob sized bridle. Also, after about 10 rides one of the straps broke. I jump my hors and he is easy to control in a hackamore, but I wanted to try this out and see how he would do. Needless to say, I will be going back to a hackamore or different bitless bridle as this one does not control him on turns or when I would try to slow down very well.
IT RUNS SMALL, IT IS TOO SMALL FOR MY 14.2 H WALKER.
"Great While It Lasted"
I am training my horse and she responds VERY well in a bit-less bridle. The only problem is that this rope version doesn't last. The weaving that connects the rings gave out after about 30 uses.
"Love It ! ! ! ! "
I am using this bridle on two newly broke mares 6&8 years old. One is a arab/app and the other is a saddlebred/paint. It fits both of them great and they respond to it wonderfully. I do not use bits on any of my horses and this works alot better than clipon reins on a halter. I am buying more of the same.
"Will not fit a HORSE & reins too stretchy"
"I purchased this for my Appaloosa last summer and found that it was incredibly too small. He wears normal ""horse"" in everything. They really need to make a notation on this that this is Pony / Cob size. Also, I have been using the reins with another bridle I have, since they clip on so easily. I have found that there is so much stretch and give that if you need to do a much stronger signal than you normally would. Makes keeping your hands in proper position a chore."
"Great for my Q Mare"
My mare Sky took to this very quickly and is very happy in it. It is completely adjustable and fits her like a glove. I then took it off her and put it on my Qrab, Gracie, and it fit her well - although she didn't respond as well to it while riding
"NOT FOR HORSES"
VERY DISAPPOINTING TO SEE IT SO SMALL. IT COULD NOT FIT A HORSE IF IT TRIED. MUST HAVE BEEN MADE BY MIDGETS FOR MIDGET HORSES!!
"Very Small/Pony sized"
Very dissapointed with the size of this bridle. If you have anything larger than a pony, purchase something else. I am frankly shocked that they are calling this horse size. Not adjustable at all and the quality is terrible, it even looks used before you even take it out of the bag. So unless you are using this product on a very small pony, give this a pass.
"needs to be adjustable"
Dose not fit my horses, and can not adjust to fit, very disappointed, other then that, I like it,s feel and softness on the horses face and softness in my hands, just wish it fit her better, because of that , I can not use it on my bigger horses. :-(
I was very disappointed in this piece of tack. Very low quality, it will not last. It was not adjustable enough to fit either of my horses and the rein was too short. It will not be used here. I bit the bullet and bought a Dr. Cook Bitless instead.
Just wanted to say thank you so much. I have looked for something special for my Pony,I got her 2 weeks ago, Her mouth is so busted and hard. Can't use a bit, tried a hackamore but it rubs her mouth, she is afraid of it. this is like her rope lead rope. she turns, stops, with is. No fussing. just going where ever I aks her to go, she can even eat the grass. Her name is Bunny She thanks you also. My grandkids can now ride her, she loves kids. Thank you again Joyce
