This is a little lighter than other turnout sheets I have bought, but I like it a lot. It fits true to size and seems comfortable to my horse.
"Very nice raincoat"
I don't routinely blanket any of our five, but purchased this for our oldest gelding late this fall. He has a nice thick coat, but doesn't maintain the condition he used to. Cold weather doesn't bother him, but cold and wet does. This isn't insulative, but does keep the majority of the rain/snow off, and provides some wind protection. So far it's stood up well to a pasture with trees and a small donkey who likes to tug on it. I especially like the Velcro strips in the front that secure it until everything is hooked. As others have commented, the metal closures are somewhat puny, but I'm guessing they will break away if it snags badly - not a bad feature.
"Nice, very light sheet"
Bought a few months ago for my growing 4 year old who is unclipped, but lacks a good winter hair coat. He wears it comfortably in 48-60 degree weather. It is a single layer of fabric, waterproof and has kept him dry in the rain, and acted as a windbreaker. The only maybe-CON thing is that the metal of the clasps is a bit thin and might bend or lose their shiny finish over time. After more than 45 days of indoor and outdoor use and there are no rips or tears in the sheet and no rubs on the horse. I am well satisfied with this MIO sheet.
"Very thin material!"
I purchased a Jeffers brand turn out sheet a month ago for my mare and the quality is much better than this one. The price was about the same for both. The material on the Amigo Mio is very thin, just hope it lasts one season.
"Perfect for my two boys!"
I have an 81” Paint and a 72” Arab cross, so you can imagine they have quite different builds. I rarely find sheets that fit both of them right. Well, these do. This is actually the first sheet that fits my Arab is the shoulders/neck, and I’ve been buying sheets for him for over ten years. Seems sturdy and well constructed, and since my boys are both 22, they aren’t too hard on things anymore. Love the color too. Will most likely be buying the medium weight blanket for them too in a few weeks.
"Fits Perfectly & Keeps My Horse Dry"
I am quite pleased with this purchase. We've had it for a little over two weeks now, and have used it four times. Each time has fit well to my horse without any rubbing, and most importantly kept him DRY. He is turned out on his own, so I'm not sure how the durability it verses other horses, but it has held up to him rolling on parts of his pasture which are more gravely. I love that there is no fill, so you can put it on your horse when it is over 50 degrees, and not worry about overheating too.
"Terrific Rain Sheet"
I bought two of these rain sheets, and love them. They are cut well, look nice, stay in place, have not rubbed, and are such a great product for the price. My horse is completely dry underneath, and the sheet alone is perfect for California winter weather. I like this turnout so much I also purchased the same one in the 200g fill, just in case it gets cold enough to use it. My horse lays down and rolls, the sheet has held up and still looks new. It is 600 denier, which has been adequate for my horse. I love Horseware!
"nice rain sheet"
my mare started dancing just like the horse in the ad when I put this on her. she loved it. AND she is dry today.
"Great deal on inexpensive blankets/sheets"
I bought the sheet and blanket set for my OTTB rescue horse. Great value for the set, sheet is a bit thin, but has held up well this season! There are no rear leg straps, so that was worrisome at first, but when adjusted correctly, it stays put and does not twist. I like the flaps on the belly to keep warmth in, and tail strap takes the place of the rear leg straps. Not the thickest material, but has help up this year, even with a nasty pasture mate!
I really hate to give products bad reviews but I bought three of these and they lasted one week. They are not capable of handling horse at all. Pretty sad for a turnout product.
"Great value and quality"
Great quality, durability and fit. Love how easy these turnouts are for quick on and off. No need to mess with rear leg straps!
So far so good. It fits my 16.1 hand appendix perfectly and is light enough to really be considered a sheet. I've already ordered the Medium Weight.
I have had this sheet for 3 years. I have washed it and re waterproofed it many times. This sheet is seriously great quality.
