The Original BugPellent Hanging Cartridge

The original BugPellent hanging cartridge is a brilliant alternative to fighting flies in your barn or shed. I personally use this product in my barn and I (and my boys) absolutely love it! BugPellent contains only essential oils and organic waxes… Absolutely no pyrethrins, pyrethrums or pyrethroids! Another huge plus is that there is no sticky strips or messy, smelly bags to deal with!

When hanging your BugPellent, it is a good rule of thumb to use (1) hanging cartridge per 1½ stalls. Also, make sure that you attach the cartridge to a ceiling or beam with open airflow that is 7'-12' high, preferably not near a wall on one or more sides. Try to make sure that they are hung out of reach of your four-legged children. This dangling cartridge can be very appealing to some toy lovers…. especially a certain "yella" horse named Apollo (not to name names or anything).

It is recommended that you refill the cartridge every 6 to 8 weeks. You will still see the product in the cartridge, but it will begin to lose its effectiveness. It is a good idea to go ahead and order a pack of the BugPellent Refills when you purchase the cartridge so that you will have them on hand when you need them. (It is also a good idea to have an old spoon or butter knife on hand to help remove the wax pellets from the cartridge.)

BugPellent Fly Spray and Gel

Fly control doesn’t stop at the hanging cartridge for BugPellent. They also manufacturer a fly spray and repellent gel that helps to control deer, horse, stable & black flies, ticks, mosquitoes and gnats. Whereas the spray can be used all over, the gel works its magic in the more sensitive areas like around the nose, under eyes, around ears, on the chin and at the tail dock. A swipe of gel around the coronet band is a great preventative to keeping ticks from crawling up the legs! With both of these products, make sure to shake well before each use. Due to the nature of the ingredients, they will separate.
