Use to tube-feed weak newborn kids that won't nurse. 60 mL poly syringe with a long, flexible feeding tube. Tube slides down throat to stomach, past air passage. Feed colostrum or milk directly.
If you don't have one or two of these in your vet box...Why Not? Each lambing season I start with a new one in the Lambing Kit, because the rubber plunger tip gets funky after a while. I totally agree with the other positive reviews on this one simple item that is inexpensive and is a life line for weak animals. Get this product! Better yet, Buy two!
If I could only have one item at kidding time, this would be it. So easy to use and can save a kid. If we have any question at all it the kid is getting enough colostrum, we will use this to give them a couple of ounces.
It's a MUST to have a couple of these on hand, they truly are life savers for weak newborns or young/small animals that become ill and/or go off feed or need meds that they will not take on their own. We use mostly for our goat kids, but have used them on sm.dogs/or puppies, piglets, etc. And have used them as a catheter, such as for flushing a goats uterus after a difficult kidding or infection.
