worth every penny

One of my horses coliced during the winter a few years ago from not drinking enough water. Here in NW Fl we don't have consistently cold weather but on those few occasions this heater keeps my horses water tank from freezing and makes the water temperature warm enough to encourage them to drink. This winter we've had more freezing cold nights than usual and I've been happy with the performance of these heaters. The heaters have lasted more than one winter and I haven't had a colic from dehydration since I started using them.

Great Product

I love this design for a trough tank deicer. They go right in through the drain hole of my Rubbermaid tank and don't allow my horses to pull the heater out of the water. I much prefer these to the drop-in variety. I have never had a problem with electrical horses never get zapped from this design. I keep this thing in all winter, then box it up and pull it out next year. I can usually get two winters out of these before they go bad. Sometimes they are done in one winter's use, but they come with a warranty. A cheap way to keep your livestock's water from icing over all winter long.
