I have been using my EZ Milker for 3 lambing seasons and Love It.. I can't believe how Ez it is to use and all of the colostrum I have been able to save.
I would definitely recommend this product.
I was unable to hand milk my Nigerian Dwarf goats due to arthritis in my hands, so I thought I would try this product. I have not had any problem with it's function or durability at all. The one thing I have found is that you have to hold it level or it will lose suction - but with a little trial and error it's not hard to figure out.
I would definitely recommend this product.
I bought this because my daughter, who is my occasional backup, had never hand-milked before. I was concerned that if I couldn't milk some morning, she wouldn't be able to do it either. After using the pump a couple of times, however, I liked it so much that I've used it exclusively myself. I'm not sure why others seem to have had problems with it. Mine was used by its former owner for at least a year, and has been used by me and my daughter for over six months, and is still in perfect condition. My only concern about it is the constant suction, which I think is hard on the teats. I try to moderate that as much as possible by letting the milk stream come to a stop before squeezing the handle again. I also milk into a pint bottle rather than directly into the quart bottles, so the doe gets a break from the suction each time I empty the pint container. It is slower than hand milking, but I like that the milk goes into a closed container and doesn't get dust, flies or hooves in it as can happen with an open pail.
