I have used quite a bit of this product to make permanent fences for horses. First of all I'm disappointed that Gallagher stopped selling the large crimps for this product.
More importantly the mixed metal they use is not good quality. I have had dozens of areas where the metal has shorted out on the fenceline in areas with absolutely nothing touching it. After about 4-5 years it starts by sparking a little, gets worse and worse until it is totally burned out.
