I have used this on 4 great pyrenees dogs, and they LOVE it. It's the only rake that doesn't hurt them. I use this first, and then follow up with various combs, slicker brushes, and sometimes other rakes. My dogs are sensitive to pulling their fur and only this rake doesn't do that. It loosens the snarls so I can go in with combs with wide set teeth to loosen the snarls more. I need to get the Untangler comb to go with this. The teeth that rotate 360 degrees are a HUGE help. I've had this rake more than a year, maybe 2 years. It lasts well.
This product is an awesome rake! It is the best I have found. It works well for all the furry animals on the farm. We use it on the Scottish Highland cattle and the horses, pony and the dogs too. I wish I had a crate of them so the seven of us wouldn't have to fight over who gets to use the two we have. We even carry them in our pockets at the fair where we use them on our cattle. I will be one waiting for the 'indefinite back order' to end so I can buy more!
