These are a nice inexpensive set of hoof trimmers. They work well for the price and seem to stay sharp through at least one season before needing sharpened. We try and keep a fresh set around during show season and old ones end up being used for all kinds of things they were not meant for, like cutting bailing twine.
This trimmer works well, but is a little big for a smaller hand. While it says supersharp, it is not the sharpest on the market and dulls quickly - in my experience. It works well enough on my dwarf goats but was extremely difficult to use on a full size boer cross that I had. It is a decent tool for the price but I wouldn't recommend it for small statured people, large goat herds or those who have larger goats.
i raise mini dairy goats and their hooves are not quite as thick or tough as the standard breeds. however, they dont work so well on the bucks. they are a bit small for my husbands big hands but fit mine well. i trim the does and the babies and my husband trims the bucks with a different set. still, he sharpens them for me before every use
