We bought a new horse and within 2 weeks he had his first colic episode which required iv fluids. Then he started to have mild colic episodes every 2 weeks. As I was searching every possibility, I dewormed him and each time he would show colic symptoms. The vet suggested Succeed. The colic stopped! After the first bucket, I stopped the Succeed because the stuff is pricey and we were hoping maybe he would not need it forever. Within 3 weeks he had another colic episode! We were close to putting him down, we just couldn't get a handle on this and the vet bills were mounting and the stress was terrible. We decided to try Succeed again... along with other treatments we have had no more colic! he now gets Succeed 1/2 dose every other day. He's been colic free for a year!!!
