I have four of these and have used them for about 6 months now. They are exactly what I needed- an inexpensive way to secure feed and water buckets with no protruding hooks or parts for silly horses to hurt themselves on. The horses can't toss the buckets around anymore, less waste and mess. I screwed them directly into the plywood kick boards- easy to hang very secure. I am currently using two of these with 5 gallon heated flat back buckets that have cord storage compartments on the bottom- the buckets are slightly large for the holder but still fit well enough to provide secure support and because of the open design of the holder there was no problem with running the electrical cord.
Bought 3 of these a few weeks ago. Installed them properly. Two have broken already. Metal is thin and weak. Very cheaply made. I do NOT recommend. Not happy. I guess I should have been buyer beware, clearly says they are made in CHINA. :(
This was just what I was looking for. I don't actually use it for the purposes of holding a water bucket, although I'm sure it would be fantastic doing that, but I actually have a bucket with a snap lid on it that holds my horses supplements. This way I can store my supplements by his stall door (at a boarding facility with various feeders and its easier to keep by his stall) without having to worry about critters getting into them or anything else. Very durable. Great value - you can't beat it. I've seen much more expensive holders that are made with a lesser quality. Would recommend.
