These clippers worked great on my horse's winter Cushings coat. With other clippers this size, I've gone through 3 or 4 blades just to get one full clip done, but these clippers finished with sharpness to spare on the blades we started with! They work as well as the Oster Clipmasters I have used in the past, but are smaller and easier to use. Also, these cost half as much as the Clipmasters!
I highly recommend getting the Andis Blade Care Plus dip to go along with the clippers. It's the best thing I've found for keeping clippers (of any brand) running cool and clean.
I have worked for Oster for several years and was extremely loyal to the brand, however once I tried Andis, there was no comparison. The Andis clipper never got hot (I used to wear gloves with my Oster) and was extremely quiet and didn't blow fur in my face. The best part is this thing does not break down! I'm converted!
We had several different sets of clippers before buying these Andis clippers. It wasn't long before we had a second set. We clip over 20 mini horses each spring and these just seem to not quit. If they do have an issue, it is always something very small and repair is very reasonable. Will always have at least 2 or 3 sets of these clippers in my clipper box.
